She’s an Uruguayan feminist philosopher and theorist based in the Canary Islands, anti-gordophobic activist and co-founder of “Stop Gordofobia”, a critical website of the established canons of beauty. Piñeyro ‘is a feminist out of necessity, out of love, out of freedom, out of survival, out of rebellion’.

🌟 We are thrilled to present one of our keynote speakers: Paul Julian Smith!

🎞️ Paul Julian Smith is a Distinguished Professor at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a regular contributor on Spanish-language film for the British Film Institute magazine Sight & Sound. Internationally recognized scholar of Spanish and Mexican cultural and media studies and of critical theory, some of his notable works include ‘Writing in the Margin: Spanish literature of the Golden Age’ or ‘The Moderns: Time, Space, and Subjectivity in Contemporary Spanish Culture’.

✍🏼 Acceptance of proposals is open until 31st of January 2025!
