We scouted this hike this year, and it instantly made it into our Top 3 hikes in Catalonia. Around every corner, we found ourselves saying “Wow”

Aigüestortes National Park, with almost 300 alpine lakes, is one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain landscapes. Think ancient pine forests, turquoise glacial lakes, waterfalls, granite peaks, and fresh mountain air that instantly makes you slow down.

Some hikes are about reaching the summit. This one is about enjoying every step along the way.

Finally, a recap of our last trip to Vall de Núria!

Core memories:

* A house in the middle of nowhere with breathtaking
* views
* A shared dinner where we told our most embarrassing life stories
* No internet connection
* Horses
* An evening discussion about what we would do if we didn’t have to work
* A hike just before the rain
* Rain and hail in a tiny village
* A talent show by the lake
* A spontaneous late-night jam session with a stranger on the hotel terrace
* The freshness of the forest
* A rainbow
* Sunbathing on the terrace while eating watermelon
* A bar inside a church and our final hugs there
