He’s such an adorable little guy. A tiny, intrepid explorer 🐾 Curious to a fault—if there’s something new to investigate, he’ll be the first one there. He runs, plays, chases toys, and turns every corner of the house into a new adventure.

He’s also very sociable and really enjoys the company of other cats. 🐱 And when he finally runs out of energy, he knows exactly where to retreat: inside the closet, curled up among the clothes for a good nap. 🥰

He makes the most adorable little noises, has a hearty appetite, and a distinctive feature that makes him unmistakable: the slightly curved tip of his tail, which gives him that air of a little tough guy who seems to have already lived through quite a few adventures. 😎

Venti is full of energy, curiosity, and a love for companionship—and he’s eager to discover the world. A kitten with the soul of an adventurer who can’t wait to find his forever family. 🖤

Nobody wants to read this sort of post on a Saturday night, but 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞💔 We’re heartbroken. Another piece of our heart is gone.

Things were never looking good, but we had reason for hope. Her test results, although poor, didn’t rule out a chance. She deserved for us to fight, hoping for a miracle.

However, on top of kidneys in crisis, her worsening anaemia, liver failure and her inability to eat, a final blow came: she also tested positive for FeLV. She was already suffering and things weren’t going to get any better. The pain was now more obvious, and her strength was gone.

We helped her to gently leave this cruel world, and she knew loving touch until the very end. Thank you, Sants Animals team, for the tender care you gave as she went.

We don’t know if karma exists, but if it does, we hope that this “family” who threw her out into the street like a piece of trash, gets exactly what they deserve.

Amelie (how we’d named her), you asked for help even when you had no strength left, and you at least knew love from our hands and also that of a whole community who rallied round you. We’re so sorry, sweetheart. We arrived too late 💔 We’d hoped you’d have a few more years to experience the true warmth of a home. 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀.

A huge thank you to our whole community. For loving her too, during the short time she was in our lives.

Nadie quiere leer este tipo de post un sábado por la tarde, pero nuestra pequeña se ha ido. Estamos rotos. Un trozo más de nuestro corazón se ha ido.

La situación nunca estuvo bien, pero seguíamos con esperanzas. Su analítica, a pesar de ser mala, no le cerró la puerta. Merecía que lucháramos, deseando que un milagro llegara.

Sin embargo, además del fracaso renal, su anemia empeorando, el hígado fallando y sin ser capaz de comer llegó un golpe final: ella también dio positiva a leucemia. Estaba ya sufriendo y las cosas no iban a mejorar. El dolor ya era más obvio y sus fuerzas en mínimos.

Hemos ayudado a dejarla ir y ha estado acompañada hasta último momento. Gracias equipo por darle esas caricias hasta el final.

No sabemos si el karma existe, pero si existe, esperamos que le devuelva todo a esa “familia” que la tiró a la calle como un objeto.

Amelie (como la habíamos bautizado): tú pediste ayuda hasta cuando no te quedaban fuerzas, y al menos conociste el amor de nuestras manos y también el de toda una comunidad que te volcó. Lo sentimos tanto, cariño. Llegamos tarde 💔 Esperábamos que tuvieras unos años más por vivir el verdadero calor de un hogar. Siempre en nosotros.

Un agradecimiento inmenso a toda la comunidad. Por quererla también, el poco tiempo que estuvo en nuestras vidas.

🚨 ¡𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐀 𝐓𝐔 𝐀𝐘𝐔𝐃𝐀! / 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏! 🚨

On Tuesday, we found this cat lying on the road, barely able to move. We thought she’d been hit by a car, but when we got closer, she got up and started following us. Her condition was HORRIFIC. We couldn’t leave her there. It was obvious that she had been suffering silently for a long time. At some point, she must have had a home - she’s far too gentle and clearly knows how to ask people for help.

She is around 9 years old and weighs just 𝟮,𝟭𝟳 𝙠𝙜. She is severely malnourished - skin and bones - dehydrated, suffering from diarrhoea and with very weepy eyes. Her blood tests show anaemia and kidney failure which are putting her life at risk.

We don’t know how long she had been in this condition. What we do know is that she urgently needs help, and every day of treatment matters. Could her “family” have abandoned her on the street because they didn’t want to cover the vet costs and care she needed? We are so tired of people treating animals this way. An animal is a life, and taking responsibility for them is not optional.

Since Tuesday, she has been hospitalised at Catichien veterinaria , and over the next few days she will continue her treatment at Sants Animals . We want to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts for helping when she needed it most 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Without your help, this would not be possible.

We don’t have the final bill yet, but we already know we have several days of hospitalisation, blood tests, an X-ray, medication and supplements to cover. We estimate that the costs will easily reach 𝟱𝟱𝟬–𝟲𝟬𝟬 €, and they may increase depending on how she responds to treatment. And now comes the part that is hardest for us: asking for your help 🙏

Baleo is the cold-weather cuddle cat you've been waiting for. We can all feel it: the chillier temps are coming, and we are READY FOR IT ❄ This is cat season, this is when they're busy growing their little winter jackets, are migrating back to our beds, wanting to be our little furry blankets, and are just generally making everything better and warmer and lovelier. This guy is going to be so awesome at all of that 🖤

Baleo likes to hug you properly, like arms-around-your-neck properly. He's like a little kid and he can take care of himself just fine, but he still wants his mum and dad. He likes to give kisses, welcomes you home, and is the best companion. He will fit in anywhere, fill those empty cracks in your heart or home, and constantly surprise you with how easy everything can be when you've got the right cat with the right person or people.

This wee boy loves to play! He can manage on his own but he'll drop his toy where you like to sit and wait patiently until you pick up what he's putting down. No pressure, but when you have a moment, please play with him? 🙏🏻🥲🖤

Baleo is a black cat. People mostly adopt based on colour (not with us, we adopt to people who see the personality of the cat, but the attention each cat gets is heavily affected by their colour). He is also a cat with exceptional character and we'll make that sure that he ends up with the best home. Todxs lo notamos: se acercan las temperaturas más frías y estamos LISTXS PARA ELLO ❄ Esta es la temporada de los gatos, cuando están ocupados dejándose crecer su pequeño pelaje de invierno, vuelven a nuestras camas, quieren ser nuestras mantitas peludas y, en general, hacen que todo sea mejor, más cálido y más encantador. Este chico va a ser increíble en todo eso 🖤

A Baleo le gusta abrazarte de verdad, con los brazos bien alrededor de tu cuello. Es como un niño pequeño y sabe valerse por sí mismo perfectamente, pero sigue queriendo a su mami y a su papi. Le gusta dar besitos, te da la bienvenida cuando llegas a casa y es el mejor compañero. Encajará en cualquier sitio, llenará esos huecos vacíos de tu corazón o de tu hogar, y no dejará de sorprenderte con lo fácil que puede ser todo cuando tienes al gato adecuado con la persona o personas adecuadas.

¡A este pequeñín le encanta jugar! Juega solo, pero dejará su juguete justo donde te gusta sentarte y esperará pacientemente a que cojas lo que él ha dejado ahí. Sin presionar, pero cuando tengas un momento, ¿podrías jugar con él? 🙏🏻🥲🖤

🌟 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝗰𝗶ó𝗻. A mum cat with her 5 little ones: a family growing together through adventures, love and plenty of cuddles

1️⃣ 𝗦𝗔𝗠: the leader and true star of the group. Energetic, curious and always ready to come up with a new game for everyone. He chases the feather wand as if he were on a mission 😹 When things are quiet, he looks for cuddles and purrs away

2️⃣ 𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗟: a little shy and cautious. Once he feels comfortable, his mischievous side comes out: tunnels, hiding spots and surprising his siblings. He’s the official climber, with a particular hobby: carrying his favourite stuffed toy all around the house (sometimes it even ends up in the water bowl 😂)

3️⃣ 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗭: Mama’s little girl. She likes knowing that Tsuki is nearby, but when it’s time to play, she turns into a true adventurer. Chasing, being chased and, above all, conquering high places. She’s the queen of the tallest scratching post ⛰️

4️⃣ 𝗧𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗘: the little lady of the group: affectionate, elegant and a little nosy. She’ll follow you around the house, sleep right beside you and show you her belly 🥹 On the balcony, she soaks up the sun while keeping an eye on everything. And when it’s time for wet food, her soft little meow reminds you that punctuality matters 😂

5️⃣ 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗔: she knows exactly what she wants. Determined, playful and with just the right touch of mischief to make her unmistakable. When it comes to food, she makes sure her siblings don’t get too close to her bowl 😂 And when it comes to her little mouse toy, there’s no negotiating either. Afterwards, she stretches out, shows you her belly and turns into the cuddliest one of them all 💕

🌙 𝗧𝗦𝗨𝗞𝗜: a devoted, patient and protective mama. She comes running as soon as she hears one of her little ones and still finds time to look after them 💛 She also has her independent side: she loves high places and sharing your desk chair while you work 💻

🍯 En adopción: 𝕄𝕖𝕝🍯 (🇪🇸 en comentarios)

Her name comes from the Latin word for “honey,” and it couldn’t be more fitting, because she is sweet, affectionate, and always looking for someone to be by her side. Her little touch of shyness will only last a few moments before she comes looking for you, ready to receive chin and head scratches or to be brushed with her favorite brush.

She also has a little independent streak and will take some time for herself, but never too far away. She loves curling up into a little ball and sleeping close to your legs. 💛

Her special hobby? Following you to the bathroom and lying down next to your feet. You were probably hoping for a moment of peace and quiet, but she has an important job to do as your feline supervisor. 😂🚽

She explores every corner and has an excellent sense of smell, so if she discovers there’s a cup of coffee nearby, she’ll stick her nose right in it. ☕️

Mel was found in a cat colony in a severely malnourished state. We think she may have been abandoned and locked somewhere, or perhaps spent days wandering around until she finally found food… Now, she is ready to find a real family of her own. ❤️

Mel is hoping to be the queen of the house and receive all the attention, so we believe being the only cat in the home would be the best option for her.

🥒 Buscando adopción: P͟i͟c͟k͟l͟e 🥒

Tiny but energetic. His mission is very clear: to know everything that’s going on around him and, of course, be part of it. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀, and always ready to make you laugh. If something fun is going to happen, he wants to be there 😼

His favorite toys are feathers and little balls. A game where Pickle will always be the winner. But there’s something he loves even more: people and other cats. Resting, cuddling, giving kisses, or simply sharing the same space. It doesn’t matter what the plan is — he just wants to be around you.

He purrs with such intensity that it’s easy to tell just how happy he is. And his incredible eyes have that special look that melts your heart.

Pickle needs a family who will enjoy an active, affectionate cat with lots of love and life to share. His enthusiasm is part of his charm. He promises to be your little shadow, your playmate, your purring companion, and the official supervisor of everything you do at home 🧡

Pequeño, pero enérgico. Su misión es muy clara: enterarse de todo lo que ocurre a su alrededor y, por supuesto, participar. 𝗝𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁ó𝗻, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗼 y con ganas de hacerte reír. Si algo divertido va a ocurrir, él quiere estar ahí 😼

Sus juguetes favoritos son las plumas o bolitas. Un duelo donde Pickle siempre será el ganador. Pero hay algo que le entusiasma todavía más: las personas y otros gatos. Descansar, acurrucarse, dar besos, o simplemente compartir espacio. No importa el plan: hay que estar acompañado.

Ronronea con tanta intensidad que es fácil saber lo feliz que es. Sus increíbles ojos transmiten esa mirada especial.

Pickle necesita una familia que disfrute de un gato activo, cariñoso y con muchas ganas de compartir la vida. Su entusiasmo forma parte de su encanto. Él te promete ser tu pequeña sombra, compañero de juegos, ronroneos y supervisor oficial de todo lo que hagas en casa 🧡

On July 8th, we asked for your help to please cover Enric and Nancy’s vet bills. Both had to undergo surgery to have some teeth removed. The total came to €𝟯𝟴𝟭.𝟳𝟵, you can see the bills in our earlier post. Only two people made a donation 😕 Thanks to them, we have €80. Thank you, Gabriela and Kriti! ❤ BUT we’re still short €𝟯𝟬𝟭.𝟳𝟵 😰

Where do things stand now?

1️⃣ We need to cover these bills specifically! 💪🏼

2️⃣ We need to find foster homes to get kittens off the street, as well as a young, tame cat who is completely malnourished, just skin and bones. Without foster homes, the street will remain their home 💔

There are only two options. Do we leave them behind, or do we work together to help?

We know we all want to enjoy the summer vacation, but cat rescue work never stops. ⭐En adopción: 𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗔 🏡 (🇪🇸 en comentarios)

Ecka is observant, calm, and patient. She likes to take her time to watch the world around her before taking that little leap of faith. Once she does, you’ll discover an incredibly sweet and affectionate little cat.

True to her name—derived from the Sanskrit word eka, meaning “one,” “unique,” and “complete”—Ecka is finding her way towards becoming a confident, happy cat.
If there’s one thing she absolutely loves, it’s her fluffy bed. No matter how warm it is, she can’t resist snuggling into it—perhaps because it reminds her of her mum.

She’ll happily knead away with her tiny paws while purring contentedly. That’s when she enjoys gentle strokes and the occasional little kiss the most. 😽
There’s also a shortcut straight to Ecka’s heart: treats! 😋 They’re her greatest weakness and the easiest way to earn her trust.

She’s also incredibly curious and enjoys the company of other cats. Before long, she’ll happily join them, finding both fun and comfort in being part of the group. She’s equally happy entertaining herself with her toys when playtime is over.

Some relationships simply take a little longer to begin—but when they do, they leave a lasting mark. 💛 All Ecka needs is someone willing to respect her pace and let her discover, in her own time, that it’s safe to trust. Behind that cautious first glance is a brave, gentle little cat just waiting to share her love.

Ecka was rescued from an outdoor parking lot, where she was surviving alone among car engines and wheels. She was terrified of people. We’ve sadly lost other cats there to traffic, so we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. Despite such a difficult start in life, she’s never lost her desire to play, to love, or to believe that the world can also be a safe place.

🙏🏼 𝑨 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑! Dental issues are a constant struggle / Una ayudita: los problemas de boca nos persiguen 🦷🏥 (🇪🇸 abajo)

Adult cats who have spent time living on the streets, even briefly, often arrive with multiple health issues. Oral health problems caused by a common virus, in particular, are a regular problem.

𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 came to us after a long stint on the streets. Her owner abandoned the animals, leaving them to fend for themselves until we could finally step in. She is the last survivor of the group; for the others, we were too late: one was hit by a car (RIP Mec), and another had to be euthanized due to his condition (RIP Trapella). Nancy is alive now, living in a foster home where she is thoroughly spoiled and finally enjoying the life she always deserved. HOWEVER, her mouth was in terrible shape: she underwent surgery to extract three molars and her incisors, alongside a thorough cleaning of her remaining teeth.

Our dear 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 also underwent dental surgery earlier this year (huge thanks to everyone who donated toward his bills 🧡), but he had to go back under the knife in May. He was in pain again and refusing to eat. It involved a regimen of medication and supplements followed by surgery. Now, only his fangs remain, which makes him look even more adorable 🧛‍♂️😻

Rescuing animals from the streets isn’t just about putting down a bowl of food, it involves a range of care needs that often go unnoticed. Taking on adult cats presents a challenge, both due to health issues and the fact that adoption prospects are more limited. Yet, they deserve a chance to turn their lives around - the streets are no place for anyone.

Our vet clinics make a huge effort to adjust their prices so we can keep helping them. Thank you to and . Los gatos adultos que han vivido una temporada en la calle (aunque sea corta), pueden llegar con múltiples problemas de salud. Concretamente, los problemas de boca debido a un virus común, están a la orden del día.

Nancy llegó con nosotros después de esperar mucho tiempo en la calle. Su “tutor” se desentendió de sus animales y fueron tirados a la calle, allí pasaron tiempo hasta que pudimos empezar a mover ficha. Ella es la última del clan, para los otros no llegamos a tiempo: una fue atropellada (DEP Mec) y otro tuvimos que eutanasiarlo debido a su condición (DEP Trapella).

Nancy ahora está viva, en un hogar de acogida, siendo más consentida y tiene la vida que siempre mereció. PERO su boca estaba en muy mal estado, así que se sometió a una cirugía para extraer 3 molares y los incisivos, además de hacer una buena limpieza del resto de piezas dentales.

Nuestro querido Enric ya fue sometido a una cirugía de boca a principios de año (muchas gracias a todos los que donasteis para sus facturas ❤️), pero tuvo que volver a pasar por quirófano en mayo. Volvía a estar con dolor y sin querer comer. Fue un proceso de medicación, suplementación y luego la cirugía: ya le quedan solo los colmillos, lo que le ha hecho aún más precioso 🧛‍♂️😻

Rescatar animales de la calle no es solo poner un plato de comida, sino que hay una serie de cuidados que pueden pasar desapercibidos.

Aceptar casos de adultos supone un reto, tanto por temas de salud, como las opciones de adopción que son menores. Pero ellos también merecen que su vida cambie, la calle no es lugar para nadie. Las clínicas veterinarias están haciendo un gran esfuerzo para ajustar los precios y podamos seguir ayudando.
