IADC Drilling Middle East Conference & Exhibition 2025 – A Remarkable Journey! 🇪🇬🇸🇦

As the IADC Suez University Student Chapter, we are proud to share a recap of our enriching participation at the IADC Drilling Middle East Conference & Exhibition 2025 held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia an event that brought together the brightest minds and leaders in the drilling industry.

✨ Our Chapter Highlights:
📰 Published the 1st issue of our PetroGate Magazine, showcasing students’ research, articles, and creative contributions.
🎤 Delivered an introductory presentation about our chapter’s journey, mission, and impact within the student community.
📄 Shared a technical presentation paper highlighting our ideas for the future of drilling and innovation.
📊 Participated in the poster exhibition, presenting our work and engaging with industry professionals.
🏆 Achieved 1st Place in the prestigious IADC DrillTech Arena 2025 competition — a proud moment for Suez University, the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, and Egypt! 🇪🇬

We were also honored to connect with esteemed industry leaders, whose valuable insights deeply inspired us. This proved to be a great opportunity to network and gain perspectives that will drive our future growth and innovation

We extend our sincere thanks to the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) — especially Mr. Mike DuBose, Mr. Hisham Zebian, Elles van Mullekom, Roos van Herkhuizen and Laura Hubers — for their great support and outstanding organization.

Special appreciation to IADC KFUPM Student Chapter, including Eng. Amir Shokry and Dr. Ahmed Abdelaal, for their hospitality and professional coordination throughout the event.

It was a pleasure connecting with fellow student chapters from IADC KFUPM Student Chapter, IADC University of Boumerdes Student Chapter, and Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy (SADA) — as well as meeting many Egyptian engineers proudly representing our country in the region’s energy sector. 💪

This experience reflects our chapter’s dedication to learning, innovation, and teamwork — paving the way for the next generation of drilling engineers and energy leaders. 🌍

🏆 1st Place Achievement at IADC DrillTech Arena 2025! 🇪🇬🤝🇸🇦

We are proud to announce that the IADC SU Student Chapter has achieved First Place at the IADC DrillTech Arena, held during the IADC Drilling Middle East Conference & Exhibition 2025 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Our team Saad Waseem, Eslam Hesham, Amr Eldeeb, Hussien Mousa, Galal Saeed, and Ahmed Mobasher proudly represented Suez University, the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, and Egypt on this prestigious international stage.

We extend our sincere appreciation to International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) for this incredible opportunity to participate and connect with global industry leaders.

Special thanks to the moderates and referees of the competition Dr.Amir Shokry and Dr.Ahmed Abdelaal for their efforts and good Management of this great competition.

Congratulations IADC KFUPM Student Chapter for securing 2nd Place, and Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy (SADA) for achieving 3rd Place a remarkable display of knowledge and teamwork from all teams. 👏

We would also like to recognize IADC University of Boumerdes Student Chapter for their great participation and enthusiasm throughout the competition. 🌟
