Happy World Wildlife Day!
There is brilliance in the woven tapestry of living systems, from tropical coral reefs, the glacial blue waters of polar seas, the plains of seagrass meadows and the great kelp forest; with each unique system sustaining life in the next. And through this brilliant interconnectedness, our species is sustained too.
Yet, the actions of mankind threaten to unravel the fabric of life as we know it, by disregarding vital parts of the picture.
Hope, however, is the vital chord that remains.
By protecting marine life and preserving ocean habitats, we mend the stitching that holds ecosystems together.
