شهد مركز بلاط بمحافظة الوادي الجديد افتتاح عدد من المشروعات التنموية التابعة لـ مؤسسة آفاق جديدة للتنمية الاجتماعية، وذلك بحضور السيد "فوميو إيواي" سفير اليابان لدى مصر، والمهندسة مرجريت صاروفيم نائب وزيرة التضامن الاجتماعي، فيما أنابت السيدة حنان مجدي محافظ الوادي الجديد، السيد محمد كجك نائب المحافظ، لافتتاح المشروعات، بحضور الأستاذ حامد الشيخ رئيس مركز بلاط، والأستاذ محمد منير وكيل وزارة التضامن الاجتماعي بالمحافظة، إلى جانب عدد من القيادات التنفيذية وممثلي المؤسسة والقيادات الشعبية بالمجتمعات والمستفيديات.
وكان في استقبال الوفد الأستاذ نادي كامل المدير التنفيذي للمؤسسة، والأستاذ أيمن صفوت مدير المشروعات، وفريق العمل من المهندسين والعاملين بالمزرعة، حيث تضمنت الزيارة تفقد مشروعات التعاون المشترك بين المؤسسة والسفارة اليابانية، والتي تهدف إلى دعم جهود التمكين الاقتصادي وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة بالمحافظة.
وشملت الجولة تفقد مشروع تطوير سلسلة تبريد وتعبئة المنتجات الزراعية لخدمة صغار المزارعين بمركزي بلاط والداخلة، والذي تم تنفيذه بمنحة مقدمة من السفارة اليابانية منذ عام 2016، للمساهمة في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي وتقليل الفاقد من المنتجات الزراعية. كما تفقد الوفد ثلاجات حفظ الخضروات والفاكهة، ووحدة التثليج السريع، وورشة صيانة المعدات، ومشروع الإنتاج الحيواني، وقاعة تدريب العاملين بالمشروع.
كما افتتح الوفد مركز التدريب على تصنيع الألبان بمقر المؤسسة بمركز بلاط، والمجهز بأحدث المعدات والأدوات اللازمة للتصنيع، بتمويل من سفارة اليابان بتكلفة بلغت 55 ألف دولار، ويستفيد منه 25 سيدة من قرى مركزي بلاط والداخلة. ويأتي المشروع في إطار دعم المرأة وخلق فرص حقيقية للتمكين الاقتصادي للأسر الأكثر احتياجًا.
وخلال الزيارة، تابع الحضور مراحل تصنيع منتجات الألبان بداية من استلام وفحص الألبان وقياس نسب الجودة والحموضة، وصولًا إلى إنتاج الزبادي وأنواع الجبن والزبدة وفق اشتراطات سلامة الغذاء ومعايير الجودة، حيث أشاد الوفد بمستوى التجهيزات والتدريب داخل المركز، وبأهمية الشراكة المصرية اليابانية في دعم مشروعات التنمية المجتمعية والاقتصادية بالمحافظة.
ويجسد هذا التعاون نموذجًا عمليًا للاستفادة من الموارد البيئية المتاحة، من خلال تحويل الألبان، باعتبارها من المنتجات المتوفرة بالبيئة المحلية، إلى منتجات غذائية متنوعة تسهم في توفير الاحتياجات المحلية وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي، إلى جانب خلق فرص عمل مستدامة للأسر المستفيدة.
كما وفرت المؤسسة برامج تدريبية متخصصة للسيدات لرفع كفاءتهن في استخدام المعدات الحديثة وأساليب التصنيع، بما ينعكس إيجابًا على تحسين مستوى المعيشة ودعم جهود التنمية المستدامة، حيث تمثل السيدات النسبة الأكبر من المستفيدين بالمشروع.

Blaat in New Valley Governorate witnessed the inauguration of several development projects implemented by New Horizons Association for Social Development, in the presence of Mr. Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, and Eng. Margret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity. Representing Ms. Hanan Magdy, Governor of New Valley, Mr. Mohamed Kajak, Deputy Governor, attended the opening ceremony alongside Mr. Hamed El Sheikh, Head of Blaat Center, Mr. Mohamed Mounir, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the governorate, as well as a number of executive leaders, representatives of the association, community leaders, and project beneficiaries.
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nady Kamel, Executive Director of the association, Mr. Ayman Safwat, Projects manager, and the team of engineers and farm workers. The visit included an inspection tour of the joint cooperation projects between the association and the Embassy of Japan, which aim to support economic empowerment initiatives and promote sustainable development across the governorate.
The tour included reviewing the agricultural products cooling and packaging chain development project serving small-scale farmers in Blaat and Dakhla. The project, funded through a grant from the Embassy of Japan since 2016, contributes to enhancing food security and reducing agricultural product losses. The delegation also inspected vegetable and fruit cold storage facilities, the rapid freezing unit, the equipment maintenance workshop, the livestock production project, and the project training hall.
The delegation also inaugurated the Dairy Manufacturing Training Center at the association’s headquarters in Blaat Center. The center is equipped with the latest manufacturing tools and equipment and was funded by the Embassy of Japan at a cost of USD 55,000. The project benefits 25 women from villages in Blaat and Dakhla Centers and comes within the framework of supporting women and creating real opportunities for the economic empowerment of vulnerable families.
During the visit, attendees observed the dairy production process, starting from milk collection and inspection, measuring quality and acidity levels, through to the production of yogurt, cheese varieties, and butter in accordance with food safety requirements and quality standards. The delegation praised the level of equipment and training provided at the center, as well as the significance of Egyptian-Japanese partnership and knowledge exchange in supporting community and economic development projects in the governorate.
This cooperation represents a practical model for utilizing available environmental resources by transforming locally available milk into a variety of food products that help meet local needs and strengthen food security, while also creating sustainable employment opportunities for beneficiary families.
The association has also provided specialized training programs for women to enhance their skills in operating modern equipment and applying advanced manufacturing techniques, positively contributing to improving living standards and supporting sustainable development efforts, with women representing the majority of the project beneficiaries.
