VitalBits Hackathon is finally here!

Not all bugs are in code. Some are in real life.
Now it’s your turn to fix them.

As part of a Health Promotion Activity, the IEEE AIU Student Branch is bringing you VitalBits Hackathon: a one-day challenge where tech meets real-world health impact.

What’s the challenge?
Work in teams to identify a real health problem and build an innovative tech-based solution within a limited time.

Who can participate?
• Open to CSE students
• Teams of 3–5 members
• Roles include: Developer, Designer, Idea Lead (with optional AI/Data & Research roles)

Event Details
• Location: Lecture Hall 111 (B10)
• Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Top 10 teams will be selected to present live

How it works
1. Register your team through the form
2. Submit your idea + a 3-minute demo video
3. Top 10 teams are selected
4. Build, refine, and present your solution live in front of judges

What do you win?
• Top teams will receive up to 10 bonus marks that can be added to any subject
• Recognition + exposure + real experience solving impactful problems
• Students can present their projects during university job fair

Evaluation Criteria
• Problem understanding & impact
• Innovation & creativity
• Feasibility
• Presentation & implementation
• Audience voting

Important Notes
• AI tools are allowed, but originality is required
• Pre-built projects are NOT allowed
• All work must reflect your team’s effort

The holy month of Ramadan is a time when we share our fortunes, devotion, and appreciation for the blessings bestowed upon us throughout our lives.

Therefore, we would like to bring us together during Ramadan as Student Branches from all over Alexandria for iftar on the 22nd of Ramadan (12th of March) at Antoniades Gardens. This gathering of volunteers will be a reflection of our gratitude towards one another and a thanks to our kind graces.
