🌍 MUSE in Sardinia! 🇮🇹

Our visit to in Sardinia was an inspiring journey of collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange! As participants in Youth Policies Across Europe, we engaged in meaningful discussions on youth work, policy-making, and ways to empower young people across the continent. This seminar was an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen networks, and build new partnerships.

A highlight of our trip was sharing our joint project, Be Festive: Exploring Mediterranean Festivities for Cultural Exchange and Youth Empowerment. 🎭🎉 Together, we explored the role of traditions in bringing communities together and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Beyond the seminar, experiencing the warmth of Italian hospitality, the beauty of Cagliari’s historic streets, and the richness of Sardinian culture made this visit unforgettable. From delicious local cuisine to breathtaking seaside views, Italy once again proved why culture is at the heart of connection. 🇮🇹✨

A big thank you to TDM2000 for hosting us and to all the inspiring youth workers we met! We return home with new ideas, fresh energy, and even stronger partnerships. Stay tuned for what’s next! 🚀

🎭 World Theatre Day from Cagliari, Sardinia! 🎭
At MUSE, we believe in the power of performing arts as a tool for community empowerment, dialogue, and social change.

This week, we are in Cagliari, Sardinia, for a youth seminar on participation and community engagement. So we take this opportunity to celebrate the World Theatre Day with a particular mention to the Sardinian Theatre.

Theater has been at the heart of Sardinian culture for centuries, from ancient Roman performances to the Campidanese Comedy that continues to bring local stories to life.

🏛️ In the image, you can see the Roman Amphitheater of Cagliari, a historic space that once hosted grand performances and still stands as a testament to Sardinia’s rich theatrical heritage.

✨ But theater in Sardinia is more than archeological sites —it’s a living tradition, carried on through iconic plays such as:
🎭 “Ziu Paddori” – A classic comedy reflecting rural Sardinian life.
🎭 “Su Bandidori” – A play deeply rooted in local storytelling traditions.
🎭 “S’arropapaneri” – An award-winning social satire celebrating the Sardinian language.
Through these works, playwrights like Efisio Vincenzo Melis and Salvator Angelo Spano have preserved the culture, humor, and language of Sardinia, reminding us that theater is a powerful voice for communities.

🌍 How do you see theater as a tool for youth participation and social change? Let’s start the conversation!

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our kickoff meeting for “Be Festive” - our first EU-funded project under Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Youth!

The two-day meeting which concluded this past February in Athens, marks the beginning of this exciting journey.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to for trusting in our vision and bringing us onboard as partners.

💝 This project is close in our hearts as it perfectly aligns with MUSE’s core mission of leveraging performing arts and cultural heritage as catalysts for positive societal transformation.

Over the next two years, we’ll be working with amazing partners across the Mediterranean to explore how traditional festivities can empower youth and foster cross-cultural understanding.

Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting journey of cultural exchange, youth empowerment, and community building!
