Today, the Liberian Community in the Arab Republic of Egypt joined hands with the Embassy of Liberia in Cairo, our students, and Liberians across the world to celebrate the 179th Independence Anniversary of our beloved nation.

This special day reminds us of the courage of our forefathers, the resilience of our people, and the hope that continues to shine in the heart of every Liberian both at home and in the diaspora.

We celebrate not only our independence, but also the unity, strength, and progress that continue to define us as one people and one nation. May we remain committed to peace, love for country, unity, and the building of a better Liberia for generations to come.

🇱🇷 Liberian Community in Egypt Celebrates Africa Day 2026 🇱🇷

As part of the closing activities marking Africa Day 2026 in Egypt, members of the Liberian Community in Egypt proudly joined the Embassy of Liberia in a vibrant cultural and sporting celebration held on June 1, 2026.

The event brought together Africans from different countries to celebrate the spirit of unity, friendship, and cultural diversity. Activities included a football match, cultural exhibitions, traditional handicrafts, and food displays showcasing the richness of African heritage.

The Liberian Community was honored to participate alongside the Embassy of Liberia, reaffirming our commitment to promoting African solidarity, cultural exchange, and stronger bonds among Africans living in Egypt.

We extend our appreciation to everyone who represented Liberia and contributed to making the event a success.
