N.O.V.A. × Youth Science Journal

We are pleased to announce a new partnership between N.O.V.A. by IYNA October Chapter and Youth Science Journal (YSJ), providing N.O.V.A. members with an opportunity to pursue research publication based on their work throughout the program.

This collaboration aims to support participants in taking their projects beyond the program and toward formal scientific publication, strengthening their research experience and academic portfolios.

The N.O.V.A. journey has officially begun.

Our first session marked the beginning of an intensive academic experience in neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, and data analysis, setting the foundation for the weeks ahead under the supervision of Dr.Poulami Kar.

As participants begin exploring the intersection of neuroscience and computation, we look forward to the knowledge, discussions, and projects that will shape the rest of the program.

N.O.V.A. Decisions Are Out

We are pleased to announce that the selection process for N.O.V.A. has been concluded, and decisions have officially been released.

With applicants representing 25+ countries and diverse academic backgrounds, this cohort reflects a strong interest in the fields of neuroscience, neuroimaging, and computational research.

We extend our appreciation to all applicants for their interest and effort throughout the selection process, and we look forward to welcoming the selected participants to the N.O.V.A. journey.

Applications for N.O.V.A. are now officially open.

N.O.V.A. is a four-week, faculty-led program exploring the intersection of neuroscience, neuroimaging, medicine, and computational analysis. Participants will learn from faculty and researchers, explore modern neuroimaging techniques, and gain practical experience working with real imaging data.

Throughout the program, participants will apply their knowledge to a hands-on computational neuroimaging project, receiving guidance through a pod-based structure and faculty mentorship.

Tolulope Judah Gbayisomore is an MSc student in Anatomy (Neuroscience) at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria. His research lies at the intersection of experimental and computational neuroscience, with interests in neurodegeneration, sensory information processing, and machine learning applications in neuroscience. He has contributed to research spanning experimental neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and brain disorders, and is passionate about advancing neuroscience education and research.

Daniele Calogero is a licensed psychologist and Cognitive Neuroscience graduate from Sapienza University of Rome. His research focuses on neuropsychology, neurostimulation, and social neuroscience, with experience in TMS-EEG, neuromodulation, and cognitive assessment.
