What is the difference between critical thinking and creative thinking?
Last Thursday, as part of our “Sõprus algab raamatust” project, we finally got to meet Jaan Aru, the author of the book we are currently reading together “Loovusest ja logelemisest”. The book explores creativity, how new ideas appear, and how we can create better conditions for them.
This reading club is also a learning experience for us, because this time everything happens only in Estonian, it’s different compared to our usual multilingual activities, but also a great way to practise the language together 🤭🇪🇪
The meeting was such a good one. Jaan didn’t only speak about the book, but also shared many thoughts that made us stop and think. We had plenty of time for questions, discussion and even a bit of creative thinking ourselves, which was, after all, the main topic of the evening 💭
And we are especially proud of the girls behind the project who are making all of this happen 🤍

Mis vahe on kriitilisel ja looval mõtlemisel?
Eelmisel neljapäeval kohtusime projekti „Sõprus algab raamatust“ raames lõpuks Jaan Aruga, kelle raamatut „Loovusest ja logelemisest“ me praegu oma lugemisklubis loeme. Raamat räägib loovusest, uute ideede tekkimisest ja sellest, kuidas luua paremad tingimused nende sünniks.
Meie jaoks on see lugemisklubi ka õppimiskogemus, sest seekord toimub kõik ainult eesti keeles, võrreldes meie tavapäraste mitmekeelsete tegevustega on see eriline, aga samal ajal väga hea võimalus keelt koos praktiseerida 🇪🇪
Kohtumine oli väga sisukas! Jaan ei rääkinud ainult raamatust, vaid jagas ka palju mõtteid, mis panid meid endid kaasa mõtlema. Saime palju küsimusi küsida, arutleda ja natuke ka ise loovalt mõelda, just see oligi õhtu üks põhiteemasid 💭
Ja muidugi oleme eriti uhked meie tiimi tüdrukute üle, kes selle projekti päriselt ellu viivad 🤍
