Dansk Selskab for For Tibetansk Kultur, der blev grundlagt af den XI Tarab Tulku Rinpoche (1934 - 2004) i 1985 er en tibetansk humanitær organisation, baseret på frivilligt arbejde, der har som formål at arbejde for at bevare og formidle viden om den unikke tibetanske kultur, og at formidle humanitær støtte til udvalgte projekter og etablerede institutioner for tibetanere, både i Tibet og i eksil.

The Danish Tibetan Cultural Society, founded by the late Tarab Tulku Rinpoche XI (1934-2004) in 1985, is a non-profit and non-religious organization, established to help preserve and promote the unique Tibetan culture, and to assist the educational, social and economical advancement of Tibetans, both inside Tibet and in exile.

We are deeply saddened to announce that Robert A.F. Thurman, prominent American Buddhist scholar, co-founder of Tibet House US, author and translator whose teachings shaped countless lives, died Tuesday morning, June 16, in Woodstock, New York.

Besides the quake in Bhutan, there where around the same time several minor ones on different places in Tibet, which also could be felt in Lhasa.
