Liberia for One Africa Condemns Uganda’s Recent Election Results

Liberia for One Africa strongly condemns the recently announced election results in the Republic of Uganda. Liberia for One Africa notes with deep concern the widespread reports of voter intimidation, suppression of opposition voices, and restrictions on freedom of expression during the electoral process.

Liberia for One Africa believes that elections must reflect the true will of the people. When the political environment is marked by fear, harassment, and the misuse of state power, Liberia for One Africa asserts that such elections cannot be considered free, fair, or credible.

Liberia for One Africa stands in solidarity with the people of Uganda in their pursuit of democracy, justice, and accountable governance. Liberia for One Africa calls on the Government of Uganda to immediately respect the constitutional rights of all citizens, release political detainees, and allow independent investigations into the electoral process.

Furthermore, Liberia for One Africa urges the African Union, regional bodies, and the international community to take principled action to uphold democratic norms and ensure that the voices of the Ugandan people are protected.

Liberia for One Africa will continue to advocate for fair elections, human rights, and democratic governance across Africa. Liberia for One Africa emphasizes that democracy is not merely about casting votes; it is about freedom, fairness, and the protection of citizens’ rights. Liberia for One Africa calls on all African nations to uphold these principles as the cornerstone of a united, prosperous continent.

PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 31, 2025

Liberia For One Africa (LFOA) categorically condemns the fraudulent election of the 92-year-old Paul Biya to an eight term in office as President of Cameroon. The electoral process was marred by widespread irregularities, including delayed transmission of result, discrepancies in vote counts, vote tampering, ballot box stuffing, and the inclusion of deceased person on voter rolls. This constitutes a direct affront to democracy, social justice and freedom.

We also use this platform to unequivocally condemn the African Union (AU) and the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) for failing to uphold the ideologies and principles of Pan-Africanism and African Unity. By allowing themselves to be used as a puppets of imperialism and neocolonialism, these have betrayed their mandate. The very organizations that should be the vanguard of freedom have become a living contradiction.

LFOA remains unbending and unwavering in the struggle to emancipate Africa from the shackles of neocolonialism and imperialism.
