Another racing day at the 2026 Hobie Europeans! 🌊⛵️

The HC14 successfully completed four races, while the Hobie Gold and Silver Fleets managed three, with the final race being abandoned due to a drop of the wind.

The day started with a solid breeze of around 14 knots, but the wind gradually faded throughout the afternoon — and kept shifting constantly. Tricky. Challenging. And definitely a test of both sailors and strategy. 💨

With a strong thunderstorm forecast for tonight, the sailors made sure their boats were secured and everything was safely stowed away.

After sailing, the sailors were welcomed on the club terrace with a local wine tasting. 🍷 Those who fancied it could enjoy wines from the famous Bordeaux region alongside the legendary after-sail beer. 🍺

A challenging day on the water, followed by a well-deserved evening ashore. Simply the Hobie way of life 😎⛵️✨

Day 1 of the HC16 Open and HC14 is in the books - Day 5 of the Event.
The Gold Fleet hit the water with 48 boats, while the Silver Fleet lined up with 30, and the HC14s joined the action for their first day of racing. Four races sailed in each class!

The first two races came with lighter breeze, before the wind picked up to 14–16 knots. Super shifty, super tricky, and plenty of tactical challenges, but an awesome day on the water and lots of happy smiles 💨🌊

Tomorrow it’s back on the water for Day 2 of racing the HC16 Open and HC14 of the Hobie Multi Europeans. The competition is wide open, so let’s see what happens!

What a spectacle on the final race day of the Hobie Dragoon and HC16 Youth!
The wind trend of the past few days continued, with gusts reaching up to 30 knots today. Despite an early start to the race day, only two races per class could be completed.

Under these extremely difficult and challenging conditions, the sailors faced a tough day on the water, with numerous capsizes and plenty of spectacular situations making for an unforgettable final day of racing. 🌊💨

Hobie Dragoon – Results after 9 races:

The youngest team of the fleet came from Belgium, with sailors aged just 10 and 11 years old! What an amazing achievement! 👏⛵

Tonight, the sailors are celebrating the prize-giving and the fleet cut at the legendary Hobie Cut Party 🎉

And tomorrow, the HC14 and HC16 fleets are going on the water for the first races in the battle for the title of 2026 Hobie European Champion! 🏆⛵

Day 2 of the Multi Hobie Europeans is in the books!

For the youth sailors, it was the second day of racing, while the HC16 Open Qualification kicked off today.

The Hobie Dragoon fleet completed 3 races, while the HC16 Youth and HC16 Qualification fleets each sailed 4 races.

And what a day on the water! Perfect sailing conditions with plenty of sunshine and stronger, more shifty wind compared to yesterday, reaching up to 16 knots.

The tricky conditions also brought more capsizes than you would normally expect from a Hobie Cat fleet, along with several general recalls as the shifting and increasing wind pushed boats over the starting line.

Tomorrow is the final day for the Youth fleets and the HC16 Qualification. The forecast is calling for a change in conditions, with thunderstorms expected. ⛈️
