Some news from the MOTCOM Kids School in Uganda 🇺🇬💛

- Lessons are going well: our teachers plan their lessons in line with the curriculum and use a variety of methods, such as group work, discussions and practical exercises, to actively engage the children and support their learning.

- There’s also good news regarding the water supply: the newly elected L.C.1 chairperson of Katikamu has donated a new water tank for drinking water to the school. This ensures the children have plenty of drinking water. Thank you very much for this support!

- Food supply remains a challenge: prices for beans and other staple foods have risen further. High fuel prices and bad weather are contributing to this. As a result, it is currently more difficult to buy enough food for all the children within the available budget.

The children always look forward to PE lessons! 🏐😊 The girls play netball with lots of fun and enthusiasm. Several times a week, they head out onto the sports field, which is, of course, a welcome change from lessons in the classroom.

Back to school! 📚🇺🇬

Back to school! 📚🇺🇬

Today, the third and final term of the school year officially began at the MOTCOM Kids School in Uganda.

However, it has been raining almost continuously in Katikamu for several days now. As a result, only a few pupils turned up at school today. Over the course of this week, all the children will gradually return and lessons will resume as normal.

So not much teaching took place today. Instead, the time was spent sprucing up the classrooms and school grounds after the holidays and getting everything ready for the new term. 💛
