Climate Change is Nepal's Story Too
Dinesh Paudel from Nepali Roots e.V attended a workshop titled "Climate Action from a Global Perspective" in Frankfurt today organized by Nepali Samaj e.v., featuring BBC's Global Environment Correspondent Navin Singh Khadka and atmospheric scientist Dr. Maheswar Rupakheti.
The message was clear: for Nepal, climate change touches everything, water, glaciers, harvests, energy, disasters, and the people who can least afford to lose any of it. Mountains, monsoons, floods, landslides, hydropower, agriculture all deeply connected. The Himalayas are changing faster than the world is responding. As a diaspora community, we have a role to play through awareness, advocacy, and supporting locally relevant research and solutions back home. Nepal's mountains, rivers, and future generations are counting on informed action not just reaction.
A big thank you to Nepali Samaj e.V. for organizing such a meaningful and grounded conversation.
