🇫🇷 🎧 Quand les voix libres sont muselées, quand les artistes sont réduits au silence, la littérature devient un acte de résistance. Au Cameroun, comme ailleurs, les plumes courageuses sont essentielles pour éclairer les consciences. Cette semaine, nous rendons hommage à l'une de ces plumes : Sony Labou Tansi.

🇬🇧 🎧 When free voices are silenced, when artists are muted, literature becomes an act of resistance. In Cameroon, as elsewhere, courageous pens are essential to enlighten minds. This week, we pay tribute to one such pen: Sony Labou Tansi.

🇩🇪 🎧 Wenn freie Stimmen zum Schweigen gebracht werden, wenn Künstler verstummen, wird Literatur zum Akt des Widerstands. In Kamerun wie anderswo sind mutige Federn unerlässlich, um das Bewusstsein zu schärfen. Diese Woche ehren wir eine solche Feder: Sony Labou Tansi.

📖 SONY LABOU TANSI : QUAND LA PLUME DÉRANGE

🇫🇷 Sony Labou Tansi, de son vrai nom Marcel Ntsoni, est né en 1947 à Kimwenza (actuelle RDC). Écrivain, dramaturge et poète, il est l'une des figures majeures de la littérature africaine francophone. Son œuvre, marquée par une langue inventive et une critique acerbe des dictatures africaines, reste d'une actualité brûlante.

● La Vie et demie (1979) – Une fable politique dénonçant le pouvoir absolu.
● L'État honteux (1981) – Satire des régimes autoritaires africains.
● L'Anté-peuple (1983) – Rejet, identité niée, humiliation sociale.
● Les Sept Solitudes de Lorsa Lopez (1985) – Souffrance, amour impossible, solitude.

● La Parenthèse de sang (1981) – Théâtre visionnaire et violent.
Il fonde en 1979 le Rocado Zulu Théâtre à Brazzaville : un espace de création et de résistance collective.

🇬🇧 SONY LABOU TANSI: WHEN THE PEN DISTURBS

Sony Labou Tansi (real name Marcel Ntsoni), born in 1947 in Kimwenza (now DRC), was a novelist, playwright and poet. A major figure in African literature, his writing style was bold, inventive, and politically charged.

● Life and a Half (1979) – Political fable denouncing absolute power.
● The Shameful State (1981) – Devastating satire of authoritarianism.
● The Antipeople (1983) – Rejection, identity, humiliation.
● The Seven Solitudes of Lorsa Lopez (1985) – Political and emotional solitude.
● The Parenthesis of Blood (1981) – Powerful play on madness and tyranny.

In 1979, he founded the Rocado Zulu Theatre in Brazzaville — a space of creation and collective healing.

🇩🇪 SONY LABOU TANSI: WENN DIE FEDER STÖRT

Sony Labou Tansi (eigentlich Marcel Ntsoni), geboren 1947 in Kimwenza (heute DR Kongo), war ein bedeutender afrikanischer Schriftsteller, Dramatiker und Dichter. Seine Werke sind stilistisch kühn und politisch scharf.

● Das halbe Leben (1979) – Politische Parabel über Machtmissbrauch.
● Der beschämende Staat (1981) – Satire auf afrikanische Diktaturen.
● Das Antivolk (1983) – Identitätsverlust und soziale Ausgrenzung.
● Die sieben Einsamkeiten des Lorsa Lopez (1985) – Politisch-psychologischer Roman.
● Die Blutklammer (1981) – Theaterstück über Wahnsinn und Macht.

1979 gründete er das Rocado-Zulu-Theater in Brazzaville – ein Ort des Widerstands und der Kreativität.
