Die DOZ e.V., eine in Deutschland registrierte gemeinnützige Organisation mit internationalen Projekten im humanitären und entwicklungspolitischen Bereich, sucht eine engagierte Unterstützung für den Finanzbereich in Deutschland.

Gesucht wird eine qualifizierte Person zur Unterstützung unseres Buchhaltungs- und Finanzsystems, entweder auf Honorarbasis / als Dienstleister*in, mit der Perspektive auf eine spätere Festanstellung.

Wir sind offen für zwei Formen der Zusammenarbeit:

• Laufende Unterstützung in der Buchhaltung (Teilzeit / auf Dienstleistungsbasis)

DOZ e.V., a German-registered non-profit organization working internationally in humanitarian and development programs, is looking for dedicated finance support to strengthen our operations in Germany.

We are seeking a qualified individual who can support our finance and bookkeeping system, either on a service provider / honorary basis, with the potential for longer-term employment.

🔹 Role Options
We are open to two types of support:
• Part-time / service-based finance support for ongoing bookkeeping in Germany
• Short-term consultancy to:
o Set up QuickBooks for DOZ e.V.
o Provide training to our finance teams

🔹 Requirements
• Experience with German accounting systems (e.g., DATEV, Lexware)
• Familiarity with QuickBooks (setup, configuration, training)
• Understanding of German nonprofit finance and compliance is an advantage

As part of the project: “Empowering Syrian Communities in Rural Damascus: Civic Engagement, Leadership, and Social Cohesion for Sustainable Development,” DOZ Syria invites you to participate in the first Community Dialogue Circle in Sahnaya.

This event brings together: youth, women, persons with disabilities, community members, and representatives of local public authorities, to promote constructive dialogue, exchange perspectives, and discuss key challenges, as well as to develop joint solutions that respond to community needs.

DOZ is pleased to announce the launch of a new project in Hasaka Governorate aimed at strengthening the employability and economic resilience of young people.

The project will support 72 young women and men (36 women and 36 men) aged 18–35 through:

• Theoretical training in skincare and hair removal for women, and barbering for men
• Business and entrepreneurship skills for small business development
• Two-week practical internships in local salons and businesses

The project also includes ongoing mentoring and career guidance, as well as a final event to facilitate networking with local employers.

Das Projekt richtet sich an 72 junge Frauen und Männer (36 Frauen und 36 Männer) im Alter von 18 bis 35 Jahren und umfasst:

• Theoretische Schulungen in Hautpflege und Haarentfernung für Frauen sowie Friseurhandwerk für Männer
• Vermittlung von Grundlagen der Selbstständigkeit und Unternehmensführung
• Zweiwöchige Praktika in lokalen Betrieben

Darüber hinaus beinhaltet das Projekt begleitende Beratung sowie eine Abschlussveranstaltung zur Vernetzung mit lokalen Arbeitgebern.

🎯 Ziel ist die wirtschaftliche Stärkung junger Menschen, die Förderung von Kleinstunternehmen und die Verbesserung des Zugangs zum Arbeitsmarkt.

Women Empowerment and Strengthening Women’s Role in the Community - Syria

In April 2026, DOZ orgnization successfully implemented one workshop under the project (Empowering Syrian Communities in Rural Damascus: Civic Engagement, Leadership, and Social Cohesion for Sustainable Development), bringing together 21 women from across Rural Damascus (Sahnaya, Darayya, Douma, Harasta, Zamalka, and Jaramana).

The two‑day workshop focused on:

- Leadership
- Advocacy
- Community initiative design

The workshop enabled active engagement and resulted in practical, community‑based initiative ideas reflecting local needs.

We continue working alongside women to strengthen their leadership, participation, and impact within their communities.

This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
