ICW 2026 at TU Ilmenau, Join the Intercultural Week!

In our first part from Thu, 4 – Sun, 7 June, we expect around 125 students from all around the world at TU Ilmenau to discuss internationalization at German universities and we invite everybody to join our events :
🎤 Opening Ceremony with lecture on internationalization: Thu, Jun 4, 5-7 pm; Audimax
🎲 Game Night ICW2026-special : Thu, Jun 4, 8 - 11 pm; Humboldt-Bau
🥐 Intercultural Brunch – Sun, Jun 7, 10 am - 1 pm; Wetzlarer Platz (if it rains: Curie-Bau - Weimarer Straße 25)
✨ Closing Ceremony with presentation of the results: Sun, Jun 7, 1 - 4 pm; Curie-Bau - Weimarer Straße 25

ISWI-Get-to-know / -Kennenlernen Di/Tue, 14.04., 19:00

Kommt zu unserem ISWI-Kennenlernabend am Di, 14.4. ab 19 Uhr im Raum EAZ 1337/38 (Haus mit der Lupe). Lernt uns als Lokale Erasmus Initiative (u.a. Erasmus-Party, Fernweh-Vorträge) kennen sowie unsere Campus-Projekte im Sommersemester (u.a. Interkulturelle Abende, Sprachentreffen) und die Interkulturelle Woche ICW. Wir freuen uns auf euch.

Come to our ISWI get-to-know evening at 7 pm in room EAZ 1337/38 and get to know us as Local Erasmus Initiative on Tuesday (April 14) starting (e.g., Erasmus parties, wandlerlust lectures), as well as our campus projects for the summer semester (including intercultural evenings and language meetings) and the Intercultural Week (ICW). So/Sun, 12.4. ISWI-Sportnachmittag / ISWI-Sport's afternoon - 14:00 - 18:00

Lasst uns sportlich ins Sommersemester starten mit unserem ISWI-Sportnachmittag (So, 12.4., 14-18 Uhr) in der Campussporthalle. Egal ob Anfänger:innen oder Fortgeschrittene - für alle ist etwas dabei. Alle Angebote sind kostenlos und ohne Anmeldung. Bitte bringt Sportkleidung, Wasser, Handtuch und Sportschuhe mit. Euch erwartet dieses Mal Volleyball (14-16 Uhr), Basketball (16-18 Uhr), Badminton und Tischtennis (14-18 Uhr; bitte Schläger und Bälle mitbringen; nur begrenzter Vorrat gegen Pfand).

Let's start active in the summer semester with our ISWI sport's afternoon on Sun, Apr 12 from 2 to 6 pm in the campus gym. Whether you're a beginner or advanced - there's something for everyone. All activities are free of charge and you don't have to register in advance. Please bring sportswear, water, a towel and sports shoes. This time you can expect volleyball (2-4 pm), basketball (4-6 pm), badminton and table tennis (2-6 pm, please bring rackets and balls; only limited availibility for deposit).

Our next ISWI Game Night is coming up this Thursday (Apr 9) from 7 to 10 pm! This time we are in EAZ 1337/38 (house with the magnifying glass. We want to play together with you, get to know you and your games. So just come around. You can also bring your own games with you.

So/Sun 5.4.: ISWI Easter Egg Hunt! / ISWI-Ostereiersuche!

Are you in Ilmenau during the Easter holidays, would you like to learn something about Easter and take part in an Easter egg hunt?
Then register for our ISWI Easter egg hunt on campus in cooperation with we4you and Impact Evolution happening on Sunday, April 5 2 - 5 pm: iswi.org/easter .
You will learn background information on Easter, will search for colorful eggs and sweets, and maybe even get an Easter bunny diploma! We will send you more information after registration.
P.S.: Please be aware, that Good Friday and Easter Monday are holidays in Germany. So all shops and university buildings are closed.

Lernt die Hintergründe von Ostern kennen, sucht nach bunten Eiern und Süßigkeiten und bekommt eventuell sogar ein Osterhasendiplom! Nach eurer Anmeldung schicken wir euch mehr Informationen.
P.S.: Karfreitag und Ostermontag sind gesetzliche Feiertage in Deutschland. Das bedeutet alle Geschäfte und Universitätsgebäude sind geschlossen.
