Stradbally Community Games (Laois)

It is with great sadness we learn of the passing of Carmel Delaney a life long member and volunteer of Stradbally Community Games for which she won the 2018 Laois volunteer of the year award. Her years of dedication ensured the children of the community got to excel at local, county and national level in their chosen activity.

Our deepest condolences to Brendan, Aileen, Edna, Eamonn, Gabrielle and especially Claire another dedicated volunteer and the extended Delaney and Hickey families. Carmel now joins her husband Ted and Ciaran her grandson who passed a few short months ago. May she Rest In Peace

Sincere condolences to the O’Neill and Delaney families on the sad passing of Ciarán at such a young age.Ciaran was involved with Stradbally Community Games for many years, as were his mother Claire and grandmother Carmel.
Ciáran was a talented young sportsman who gave it his all, and he will be fondly remembered.
May Ciáran rest in peace.
