MTO Berkeley is grateful to Bear Pantry at UC Berkeley for the opportunity to donate 50 backpacks filled with school supplies, along with an additional 46 school supply kits for families and children in need. Seeing the excitement on students’ faces as they selected their new backpacks and school supplies was a beautiful reminder of the impact that the Sufism concept of Khedmat or service based on love can have.

Every notebook, pencil, and brand-new backpack handed out represents more than just supplies—it represents hope, confidence, and a running start to the school year ahead. Through this effort, MTO Berkeley is helping equip students to step into the classroom with confidence and optimism.

MTO Hillsborough volunteers were honoured to partner with , donating more than 1,566 school supply items to help children and families prepare for the new school year.

Every backpack, notebook, and pencil represents a shared commitment to kindness, hope, and opportunity. Together, we can help every child begin the school year with confidence and the tools they need to thrive.

On August 1, students from MTO Shahmaghsoudi®️ in Sacramento donated over 700 school supplies to the Rosemont Community Association 6th Annual Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway.

The donations included backpacks, notebooks, folders, colored pencils, markers, and other essential classroom items. MTO students also volunteered at the event, helping distribute the supplies to local children and families preparing for the new school year.

MTO Sacramento is grateful for the opportunity to support the Rosemont community and contribute to the success of this meaningful annual event.

San Diego M.T.O. volunteers partnered with Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, California, and M.T.O. contributed 1,146 non-perishable food items and hygiene products to support individuals and families in need throughout the community.

During these challenging times, we are grateful for the opportunity to extend a helping hand to our neighbors. These donations are a small gesture of compassion, reminding community members facing hardship that they are not alone.

We are honored to collaborate with Interfaith Community Services and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership in the future.

MTO Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism, London, was honoured to host the latest Haringey Multi-Faith Forum, welcoming Councillor Ata Berk Aksit, Haringey’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Captain Peter Baker RD DL RNR, Deputy Lieutenant for Haringey, alongside faith leaders, civic representatives and community organisations.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships, supporting community wellbeing and exploring future collaboration across the borough.

With love and intention, the volunteers at MTO School of Sufism in Phoenix came together to donate 150+ backpacks and 30 school supply bags, supporting students as they step into a new year of growth, learning, and possibility.

On July 15th, MTO Berkeley hosted a Sufism and Dhikr evening, welcoming about 30 guests to explore the teachings and practices of Sufism.

The group enjoyed mind relaxation followed by an introduction to Sufism and the history of MTO. The main discussion for the evening focused on challenges and obstacles that each individual faces on their spiritual path, and strategies to overcome them.
Guests were also introduced to the practice of Dhikr. They had the opportunity to experience two group Dhiks accompanied by daf (Persian drum) and guitar.

Many guests expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with others who may be facing similar experiences on their path of self knowledge.

M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi NY/NJ Volunteers were honoured to support the 30th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser hosted by the North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, an M.T.O. community partner.

The event raised awareness and funds for children’s mental health services, helping ensure families receive support regardless of their ability to pay.

Volunteers also hosted a table, donated plants, and shared information about M.T.O. Global and the M.T.O. Tamarkoz App. Each plant was a reminder that mental well-being grows when nurtured with patience, care, and love.
