What will you actually learn?
By the end of the training, you will know how to:
📖 Find a story worth telling and turn a rough idea into a clear structure
✍️ Write a short script and storyboard for vertical video
📱 Film better with a smartphone — framing, light, sound and visual thinking
✂️ Edit short-form video with attention to rhythm, clarity, captions and music
🧠 Understand how TikTok/Reels-style storytelling can become an educational tool rather than just content
🛡️ Work with consent, privacy, image rights and responsible publishing
🤝 Facilitate storytelling in a way that is inclusive, safe and trauma-aware
🗣️ Lead your own storytelling activity and receive feedback from trainers and peers
🚀 Leave with a method and session plan you can take straight back into your youth work
And you will actually make your own finished vertical story during the week — not just hear someone explain how it works.
Do I need video experience?
No.
You do not need to be a filmmaker.
You do not need editing experience.
You do not need a camera, microphone or fancy equipment.
You need a smartphone, curiosity and a willingness to create.
Who is this for?
Youth workers, educators, trainers, mentors, facilitators, project coordinators and active volunteers who work with young people and want stronger tools for storytelling, digital expression and media literacy.
The strongest applicants will be people who can genuinely use these methods with young people afterwards.
🌍 Who can apply?
There are 3 participant places per country for:
🇩🇪 Germany
🇵🇹 Portugal
🇲🇰 North Macedonia
🇷🇸 Serbia
🇬🇷 Greece
🇹🇷 Türkiye
🇬🇪 Georgia
To participate, you need to be based in one of these countries and selected through the project’s sending organisation there. Applicants from other countries unfortunately cannot be included in this mobility.
What is covered?

🚆 Travel reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ limit for your country
📜 Youthpass certificate
🌍 21 youth workers from 7 countries
And there is another important part:
You are not coming to Berlin just to collect a certificate.
You should leave with something you can actually run with your own young people — a method, a session plan, practical digital skills and the confidence to help someone turn an idea into a story worth watching.
Young people already communicate through vertical video.
