Im Jahr 2013 wurde der KNUDDEL AWARD als q***rer Ehrenamtspreis der Vielfalt und Diversität zum ersten Mal bundesweit verliehen. Er ist eine gesellschaftliche Auszeichnung und es wird das Engagement für mehr Respekt und Akzeptanz der Vielfalt und Diversität gewürdigt. Solange Minderheiten in Teilen der Welt mit Verfolgung oder Todesstrafe bedroht werden, wird dieser Publikumspreis auch eine politi
sche Bedeutung und Verantwortung haben. Es werden Personen, Kampagnen und Organisationen geehrt, die sich in ihrem Schaffen ehrenamtlich und gesellschaftlich in verschiedenen Kategorien eingesetzt haben. Der KNUDEL AWARD ist eine Non-Profit Veranstaltung und finanziert sich ausschließlich aus Beiträgen der Mitglieder des KNUDDEL WONDERLAND DIVERSITY i.G., durch Spenden, Sponsoren und das Engagement ehrenamtlicher Helfer die jederzeit benötigt und auch willkommen sind. Die Verleihung der KNUDDEL AWARDS ist ein glamouröser Höhepunkt im kulturellen Kalender der q***ren Community geworden. Der bundesweite Ehrenamtspreis wird durch eine Jury und das Publikum verleihen und ist ein „DANKE" der q***ren Community. 2021 wird erstmals mit dem Ehrenamtspreis ein Preisgeld vergeben.
