It’s the end of an era and the start of something new.
After nearly 10 years of unforgettable nights at Prachtwerk, Opera on Tap Berlin is saying ciao for now to our longtime home. But true to form, we’re not going quietly… we’re going gloriously, dramatically, and full voice into the night!

Join us for an evening of iconic Italian opera, packed with soaring arias, forbidden passions, unhinged mad scenes, and enough vocal fireworks to make even Puccini sweat. Expect Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, and maybe even a Bella Ciao moment or two.

We’ll kick things off in our usual style with powerhouse performances and a healthy dose of chaos. Then after the break we throw open the stage for an open-mic-style celebration. Bring your favorite Italian aria, duet, or ensemble, and come sing your heart out. Or just drink, cheer, and bask in the musical madness.

The Last Cadenza – From Hell to High C 📅 Tuesday, 14 October | 📍 Prachtwerk

Witches. Curses. Blood oaths. Ghosts. Demons. The Devil himself. Opera has always had a flair for the dramatic and this Halloween, we’re raising the stakes and the dead.

Join us as we conjure up music’s most unhinged heroines and vengeance-thirsty villains. We’re talking fiery queens, cursed lovers, haunted souls, and sopranos so mad they bring the house down - literally. If it’s cursed, possessed, stabbed, poisoned, or betrayed… we’re singing it.

Expect mad scenes with coloratura so wild it’ll chill your spine and high notes sharp enough to draw blood.

This is your Halloween playlist with a dramatic flair: from Dido to Don Giovanni, from the Queen of the Night to Lucia’s bloody bouquet.

Meet the fantastic musicians performing this Sunday at ’s Hier Sind Wir Summer Festival.

Opera on Tap is thrilled to be sharing the stage with some of the talented members of The Cast and The Three Drag Tenors

From The Cast, we’re excited to welcome the powerhouse mezzo/flutist and Opera on Tap Berlin founder Anne Byrne and covering our basses - the very talented Campbell Vertesi.

From The Three Drag Tenors, you’ll see the hilarious and exceptionally entertaining drag acts from Dick Hunt (Marysa Abbas) and Justin Beaver Hunt (Sarah Bodle).

We’re also joined by special guests -our tenore du jour- the incredible Gastón Efficace and pianist Chris Cartner.

As always, the show will be hosted and include performances by Bryn Vertesi (German moderator) and Kat Elms (English moderator).

This is not a performance to miss—expect great music, lots of laughter, and a relaxed open-air atmosphere right in the heart of Berlin.

Meet our incredible performers for next week’s Fach Swap show! 🌈🎶✨

Pride is about challenging expectations and celebrating self-expression—so what better way to do that than by throwing opera’s rulebook out the window?

At Sing for Pride, anything goes. Sopranos as baritones? Tenors in trouser roles? Dramatic mezzos belting out high notes like they were born to do it? Absolutely. Because music is about passion, not permission.

Opera on Tap has always been about giving performers the freedom to experiment, take risks, and have fun. For Pride, we’re making it even bigger: a night where singers get to perform what they love—no restrictions, no limits, no Fachs given.

So whether you want to jump on stage, cheer for your favorite diva, or just soak in the joy of watching opera get as bold and unapologetic as Pride itself—this night is for you.
