We would like to introduce our new associates in Uganda: Bonny Okori and Mawejje Harbert. They are going to represent Enevra in person locally. Bonny is going to be active in the technical area and he got his own 3D printer at home. Harbert is going to be active in the administrative area: being in touch with our Partner CoRSU and helping us to expand our project to some possible new locations are some of his responsibilities. We are very happy to have them in our team and see our work expanding. Welcome to the team!

The Enevra system also allows us to print smaller individual prosthesis for children. CoRSU manly has young patients, therefore they were interested to see how our prosthesis would fit to a child. We were also eager to take the new opportunity and in the end we are very happy to see the satisfying outcome.

Today we want to show how our project is socially sustainable and does not create dependence on us.

We are not just shipping the prosthesis to a country and providing them there.
The prostheses which get produced locally have a higher value for the people. Those prostheses

We want to enable an independent local production where local people getting educated and instructed about the project. They are the ones who produce the prosthesis and provide them to amputees. Therefore the business is in local hands.

As our last point, we want to make sure there is medical aftercare for the amputees.

For more of this and more specific info, stay tuned.

You already know that we are in Uganda right now.
And we want to share a part of our work and the process of making our prosthesis.

In the first picture, you see Collin.
He is one of our first patients in Uganda.

In the following pictures, you can see the process of fitting.
After that straps, are attached for fastening.

Collin told us he likes the prosthesis and gave us some tips for further improvements.

We hope he can perform some everyday activities better with it.

Today we want to show you an excerpt from an interview we conducted.

As you know, we are in Uganda at the moment.
We talked to Mario, one of our first amputees.
He is 23 years old, he fell from a mango tree and broke his arm.
In the following days in the hospital, they couldn’t help him.
They had to amputate his arm. Unfortunately, the wound
became infected and, he had to be amputated another time.

He is helping ProUganda to get in contact with other amputees.
And he mediates them to them.

In the part of the interview, he talks about how
amputees are looked at in Uganda.

Claudia shows you that it is possible.
She is a skilled skydiver who tested
our prosthesis during the last weeks.
Her feedback will help us to improve
our prosthesis and make it even better.

We are inspired by her being an open
minded and warm-hearted person.
