Digital consent is about respecting people's privacy, choices, and boundaries before posting or forwarding content that includes them.

Some adults create fake profiles to build trust with young people over weeks or even months. They may offer compliments, gifts, emotional support, or pretend to have similar interests before asking for private conversations, personal information, or photos.

This is known as online grooming, and it can happen on social media, gaming platforms, messaging apps, or livestreams.

Real friendships never require you to keep secrets from people you trust.
