What a beautiful day with the sun.

We introduced babies to a lot of songs that include hugging and tickling! 🐻

Also, we enjoyed the texture and colors of pumpkins, and played instruments together. 🤗🔔💓

Today’s MO! 🤗

During the summer, there is no Mala Okinawa class possible without the help of my husband and babička, so thank you both for supporting what I do. 🤗

In the class, we started to introduce some words related to school, and described different emotions to prepare for the new school year. 🤗🎒✏️

“When your children are grown enough to recognize, understand, and talk about strong and complex emotions like excitement, frustration, anger, or disappointment, they would be less likely to express these emotions through challenging behavior, like tantrums.

In the class, we also made homemade waffles 🧇, cracked the eggs 🥚, and decorated the plate with delicious toppings. 🥰🍓🫐

Weekend MO! 🤗

My hope for Mala Okinawa is to create a space where we communicate more than “Hi.”
and “Bye.”

Families spend time in the same class, and we remember each other’s names and call children by their names.

Children learn songs, words, social skills, and use their hands and creativity, but most importantly, parents feel less alone while raising children in this capital city. ☺️ That's the goal.

I am grateful for people who come here with the same mindset and warmth. Arigato! 🤗

This week at Mala Okinawa 🤗🥒

We are learning lots of songs to expand children’s vocabularies by singing summer theme songs! 🤗🏕️🐠

And, today’s activity was cooking!🧑‍🍳 Kindly, our friends Bety and Karel donated us their BIG zucchinis from their organic garden, and we all had a chance to bake muffins using those. 😊🩷 Thank you!
