In April, we participated in the LOKAL – European Network Meeting project in nearby Świdnica in Poland. This international platform facilitates the sharing of experiences, inspiration, and best practices among people dedicated to community development, culture, and local initiatives. It connects stakeholders from various European regions and creates a space for dialogue, collaboration, and the launch of new projects.
We met wonderful people with great ideas and projects, such as , which resonates with our , or LALA (Lausitz Academy of Living Art) and Ładne Historie and its inspiring history for , as well as enthusiastic librarians from all over Poland who would love to share their experiences with 🌿💚🌿
For me personally, aside from these encounters, the most important thing was meeting colleagues from Czech and Slovakia and supporting one another in the fight for a better cultural future. By sharing examples, resistance, care and love ❤️🔥
A total game-changer was the workshop with Igor Stokfiszewski from and Zuzana Novotova Godalova from on the topic of radicalization and, more broadly, the discussion on polarization and radicalization across Europe. I take away from this that being radical isn’t a problem, as long as my goal isn’t polarization and violence.
The crème de la crème of the entire meeting was the safe space backstage with the oracle and the opportunity to be who I want to be, thanks to 🦄
A huge thank you to everyone we met and to those who made this possible
We are delighted to be part of these healing european gatherings 🐦🔥
