We are コネクト Konekuto - Spolek japanistů MUNI, a club where we bring people of different cultures together and make connections! 🌸

One of our core activities are conversation meetings （会話交流会） where Japanese students can practice their speaking skills outside the classroom and make new friends. We organise them twice a month on Friday evenings and everyone is welcome! These events are members only,

but we also offer a free trial where you can come to the event without joining the club, just to see if it meets your expectations. If you are interested in our activities and would like to join us, please let us know!

Our yearly BBQ is around the corner! 🍖
We hope you enjoyed our final kaiwakai as much as we did. 🙏

We have reserved a spot at grill point Líšeňská Rokle, where we will meet up at around 4 o'clock. 🏞️
Don't forget to bring your own snacks, drinks, a blanket and certainly something to grill! 🔥

This event also serves as a kind of goodbye party to the Japanese students returning back to Japan after their exchange here. 🫂
Let's gather around and celebrate the end of this semester and the start of summer together! 🌸

Animefest recap | May 22 - 24, 2026 🌸🎌✨🐲
Last weekend we were at Animefest! 🫶🏻 Big love to everyone who came to our Japanese etiquette workshop, made an omamori with us or was brave enough to complete a mini side quest to grab an omikuji fortune from our booth! 🎀🔮✨
You all brought the best energy and your cosplays looked absolutely incredible. ☺️ We loved answering all of your amazing questions at both workshops and the booth! 😌
Also! Gakusei Kyogen absolutely slayed it on stage for the third year in a row! 🎭 (A separate post about the performance is coming soon, so don’t worry if you missed it 👀)
On a funnier note... look at the drawing in last video. 😭 It’s a copy of a drawing done by a character from an iconic anime. Can anyone actually guess it? (Literally no one could get it right!)

Our biannual pub quiz will return next week, this time in ! 🌺🤗

‼️⚠️Please scan the QR code to register your team⚠️‼️

What is a pub quiz, you may be asking? 🤔
A game of trivia in a pub! You find a group of friends, 4-8 members to ensure everyone fits comfortably in Pivní Kvítek. If you don’t have a team, no problem! Just sign up as an individual, and we’ll place you in a team.
Then compete against other teams for a special prize! ✨

‼️⚠️Its necessary to register for this event. Please scan the QR code to access the registration form⚠️‼️

Staff will serve and take our orders directly at the table. The bill will be under the table you will be seated and payment can be done after the quiz.

Thank you for coming to our latest kaiwakai, it was great!
Are you looking forward to the Reading Week? 💫

If you don't yet have any plans and would like to take a break from all the reading, we invite you to go with us to Dinopark in Vyškov! 🏞️

We will meet on Sunday 26th April, at the Brno main train station (in the building's hall) at 9:00 a.m., from where we will take a train to Vyškov!

We have a form for you to register in, which contains more information (like the estimated cost per person), so be sure to check it out either via the second slide of this post, or through our stories! We will pin the stories so you will be able to access the form even after 24hours.

We will be happy to have you on board!

Spring is here and with that there's time for our yearly event, Hanami! 🌸

Join us to admire the cherry blossoms together, eat and drink and have fun! This year the students' Kyogen club will perform for us again!

The event will be near Česká at the courtyard at Komenského nám. 2 (next to the red church, in the building with the statue of Masaryk in front of it). 👨🏼‍🦳

How to get there? ✖️
1) Enter the building of the Faculty of Medicine
2) Once inside, use your ISIC card to open the second doors (if they aren't already open)
3) Go straight ahead (stay on the same floor) where you will see the doors leading to the courtyard

After that we have booked a pub where we will continue our social activities! 🍻

We look forward to seeing you all! 🌸

P.S. If you enjoy making snacks, feel free to bring some and share them with your buddies! 😉 And if you don't, you can bring games, or just something to sit on and join anyway!

毎年恒例、お花見の時期がやってきました！🌸

私たちと桜を見ながら食べたり飲んだり、楽しい時間をすごしましょう！今年は、学生狂言クラブによるパフォーマンスもあります！

イベントは、Českáの近くにある、Komenského náměstí 2（マサリクの銅像）の中庭で開催されます！

会場への行き方
1:Faculty of Medicineの中にはいる
2:ISICカードを使ってゲートを潜る
3:直進し、突き当たりにあるドアの先が中庭です。

お花見会のあと、パブで二次会もあります🍻

是非きてくださいね！お会いできるのを楽しみにしています！
※お菓子作りが好きな方、是非持ってきてみんなとシェアしてください！😉そうでない方も、ゲームや上に座れるもの（ブランケットなど）を持ってくるのをお勧めします！
