Ο Κλάδος Πάφου του Κυπριακού Ερυθρού Σταυρού (Κ.Ε.Σ.) αποτελεί μία από τις Θυγατρικές Μονάδες του. Πρώτη Πρόεδρός του υπήρξε η μακαριστή Θάλεια Μαρκίδη η οποία έθεσε τις βάσεις της οργανωτικής δομής του Κλάδου, δίδαξε όλα τα μέλη και δίκαια θεωρείται μέχρι σήμερα η πρώτη εθελόντρια της πόλης. Η κυρία Θάλεια Μαρκίδη παρέμεινε Πρόεδρος μέχρι τις 5 Ιανουαρίου 1970. Αμέσως μετά ανέλαβε η κυρία Ντίνα Κ
ακογιάννη που παρέμεινε στη θέση αυτή μέχρι το τέλος του 2012. Η κυρία Άννα Χριστοδουλίδου ανέλαβε τη προεδρεία μέχρι και τις 8 Νοέμβριου του 2021.
Τωρινή Πρόεδρος του Κλάδου Πάφου είναι η κυρία Μαρία Κορακίδου. Μέλημα της Προέδρου και των Μελών της Επιτροπής είναι να συνεχίσει και να αναπτύξει το έργο των απερχόμενων Επιτροπών στην πόλη και επαρχία της Πάφου. Εντάσσοντας στη μεγάλη οικογένεια του Ερυθρού Σταυρού νέους εθελοντές θα προάγουμε όλοι μαζί τις θεμελιώδεις αρχές του οργανισμού
Πρώτη σημαντική παρουσία του Κλάδου ήταν στους μεγάλους σεισμούς του 1953. Η προσφορά του αξέχαστη με μεταφορά τραυματιών, γερόντων και ασθενών, διατροφή απόρων οικογενειών, στήσιμο αντίσκηνων στο δημόσιο κήπο για στέγαση αστέγων, βοήθεια σε ρουχισμό, κουβέρτες, οικιακά σκεύη. Πάνω απ’ όλα, όμως, σημαντική ήταν η συμπαράσταση και ψυχολογική στήριξη όσων είχαν ανάγκη. Το ίδιο σκηνικό επαναλήφθηκε στους σεισμούς στις Αρόδες το 1985 και στο Προδρόμι και Πόλη Χρυσοχούς το 1995. όπως και στον ανεμοστρόβιλο που έπληξε την Τίμη και την Αναρίτα. Από την ίδρυση του ο Κλάδος βοηθούσε οικονομικά τα μεσημεριανά συσσίτια των δημοτικών σχολείων της πόλης μας. Paphos Branch
The Paphos Branch of the Cyprus Red Cross Society (C.R.C.S.) The first President was Thalia Markidi who laid the foundations of the organizational structure of the branch, taught all the members and she is therefore still seen as the first volunteer of the city. Thalia Markidi was President until 5th January 1970. Immediately after, Mrs Dina Kakogianni took on the President role and remained in this role until the end of 2012. Anna Christodoulidou took over the presidency until November 8, 2021. The current President of the Paphos Branch is Mrs. The main concern of the President and the Members of the Committee is to continue and develop the work of the outgoing Committees in the city and province of Paphos. By joining the big family of the Red Cross together with new volunteers we will all together promote the fundamental principles of the organization. The first important appearance of the Branch was at the great earthquakes in 1953. Its service was unforgettable as it transferred the injured, elderly and ill, fed families in need, put up tents in the public garden to accommodate the homeless, gave out clothes, blankets and house ware. Above all, the most important was the general support and psychological support which they offered to those who needed it. The same scene was repeated at the earthquake of Arodes in 1985 and at Prodromi and at Poli Xrisoxous in 1995.
