Last night, on my way home, I stopped at our local minimarket in Tala, Visteria, and came across these two little lovebirds. ❤️🐈🐈

They have been living around the area for years and are well known and fed by many of the customers.

Sadly, both of them have absolutely awful teeth and desperately need dental treatment. The female was in particularly bad shape, with a large burst abscess on her jaw and clearly in a lot of pain. Her teeth were rotten to the core, so I took her with me last night.

She was treated at Pet Wellness Vets today and will need a couple of days to recover before she can return to her boyfriend, who is surely wondering where she has gone. ❤️

Unfortunately, he also has very rotten teeth and needs a full dental as well.

If you would like to sponsor these two lovebirds from Tala and help towards their dental treatment, please do. Even €1 makes a difference and helps us provide much-needed veterinary care to cats who would otherwise continue suffering in silence. 🙏❤️

Update on Rocky, the little fighter from the Mouttalos colony 🐾🤍

We are now in week 3 of Rocky’s recovery, and he is finally starting to have some fun! It’s amazing to see him playing and enjoying being a kitten after everything he has been through. 🥹

He still has ongoing tummy issues and is on a strict diet due to on-and-off diarrhea. A lot of damage was done by the worms, parasites and maggots he had when he was rescued, so he still has a long road to full recovery ahead of him.

Sadly, due to his multiple health issues, Rocky is still quarantined on his own, and his siblings didn’t make it. 💔 We really hope that soon he will be strong and healthy enough to finally be introduced to a little friend and have someone to play with.

Please keep Rocky in your thoughts and send him lots of positive energy. He has fought so hard to get this far and deserves the chance of a wonderful life. 🤍🐈

A day in the life of a rescuer... 💔

Last Saturday should have been a happy day. 11 of my rescue kittens flew to their forever homes.

But while some are starting a new life, thousands of others are born into suffering.

Anna contacted me from Nicosia, worried about the growing cat colony at her parents home in Paphos. What I thought would be a quick visit turned into almost an hour as we spoke with neighbours, who were all relieved that something could finally be done.

An unsterilised colony means endless litters, disease and suffering.

I left with 3 tiny kittens from a neighbouring property. They were in some of the worst condition I have ever seen.

One had severe uncontrollable diarrhea. Another was completely blind, with a hole in his face where ants were feeding. They were covered in fleas, full of worms, viruses and had maggots inside their bodies coming out through their intestines.

2 of the kittens lost their fight within 48 hours. Rocky, the little survivor is still fighting. 🙏

The good news is that Anna's family and the neighbours fully support sterilising the colony. Anna has generously offered to contribute €20 towards every cat's sterilisation, but I still need help covering the remaining costs. It is 60 eur per female.

This week, 4 females were sterilised—2 of them were already pregnant with their next litter.

If you can help, no matter how small the donation, it will go directly towards sterilising this colony and ending the cycle of suffering. Any kittens that survive and reach six months of age will also be neutered.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who continues to support TNR and rescuers in Cyprus.

Toffee & Brownie 💕🐾 have been adopted to lovely families in Germany.

Toffee, Brownie and little Oreo (who remained with me), were born in my house from a mama I found at a busy supermarket.

*Oreo will stay with me until he grows a little more and gets another examination by the vet. As he still has some issues with his front legs, which might be permanent.

Best of luck my little darlings 🌞🍀✈️

*Update*

Thank you everyone, the bill has now been paid!

Special thanks to Brigette, Evgenij, Dana, Ilia and Jodie for your donation towards Mr. Grey!

Mr. Grey is one of the boys from a colony I feed regularly.

He wasn’t easy to trap, but I finally managed to get him to safety.

It’s unclear what caused the damage to his eye, but it must have been incredibly painful. The eye was enlarged and under a lot of pressure. On top of that, he could barely walk—I feared his shoulder was broken, but thankfully it turned out to be a bad abscess from a cat bite.

Mr. Grey has now been neutered, and his damaged eye has been closed. In a couple of weeks, he should finally start feeling like a different cat 💔➡️❤️

If you’d like to support Mr. Grey and help cover his vet bills, any donation means the world.

Thank you for caring 🙏
