🚑❤️ Μια σημαντική ημέρα για τη Λευκωσία και για την ασφάλεια των πολιτών.

Ο Ροταριανός Όμιλος Λευκωσία Λευκοθέα είναι περήφανος που στηρίζει έμπρακτα την εκστρατεία Heart Safe Nicosia, με την τοποθέτηση δύο νέων απινιδωτών δημόσιας πρόσβασης στη Στασικράτους και στην Έγκωμη.

Η προστασία της ανθρώπινης ζωής είναι ευθύνη όλων μας — και κάθε απινιδωτής σε δημόσιο χώρο μπορεί να αποδειχθεί καθοριστικός στα πρώτα κρίσιμα λεπτά.

Θερμές ευχαριστίες στον Δήμο Λευκωσίας, το Spiritus Invictus Foundation, και το Τμήμα Αναζωογόνησης του Υπουργείου Υγείας για την ουσιαστική συνεργασία.

Rotary Club Nicosia Lefkothea is proud to share an update from our recent humanitarian action in support of Lebanon.

With the generous contribution of Medochemie, and in collaboration with Airtrans and our fellow Rotarians in Lebanon, donated medicines were successfully delivered and distributed to hospitals and primary healthcare centres in areas of need.

This initiative stands as a meaningful example of Rotary service in action, bringing together goodwill, coordination and international cooperation to support communities facing difficult circumstances.

We extend our sincere appreciation to PP Dr Popi Kanari for her coordination and continuous follow-up, to President Demetris Pantazis, to Medochemie, to Airtrans, and to our Rotarian friends in Lebanon for ensuring that this contribution reached those who needed it.

Ο Ροταριανός Όμιλος Λευκωσία Λευκοθέα εκφράζει τις θερμές του ευχαριστίες προς τον κ. Κώστα Παρασκευαΐδη, Εκτελεστικό Διευθυντή του George & Thelma Paraskevaides Foundation, για την εξαιρετική και βαθιά ανθρώπινη παρουσίασή του με θέμα:

«Ιατρική Αλληλεγγύη χωρίς Σύνορα – Δωρεάν Επεμβάσεις σε Παιδιά»

Μέσα από την παρουσίαση αναδείχθηκε το σπουδαίο ανθρωπιστικό έργο του Ιδρύματος, το οποίο, σε συνεργασία με τα Shriners Hospitals / Shriners Children’s στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, προσφέρει εδώ και χρόνια ελπίδα, θεραπεία και μια νέα προοπτική ζωής σε παιδιά που έχουν ανάγκη εξειδικευμένης χειρουργικής φροντίδας.

Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά αξίζει στο γεγονός ότι το έργο αυτό πραγματοποιείται χωρίς οποιαδήποτε αμοιβή για τις οικογένειες των παιδιών, με τεράστια προσφορά και δωρεές εκατομμυρίων κάθε χρόνο από πλευράς των Shriners, αποδεικνύοντας στην πράξη τη δύναμη της διεθνούς αλληλεγγύης, της φιλανθρωπίας και της ανιδιοτελούς προσφοράς.

Θερμές ευχαριστίες εκφράζουμε επίσης στην PP Δρ Πόπη Κανάρη για τον πολύτιμο συντονισμό και τη συμβολή της στη διοργάνωση αυτής της ιδιαίτερα ουσιαστικής εκδήλωσης.

Μια βραδιά που μας υπενθύμισε ότι η προσφορά προς τον συνάνθρωπο, όταν γίνεται με όραμα, συνέπεια και αγάπη, μπορεί πραγματικά να αλλάξει ζωές.

🎙️ Επίσημος ομιλητής της βραδιάς θα είναι ο κ. Κώστας Παρασκευαΐδης, Εκτελεστικός Διευθυντής του George & Thelma Paraskevaides Foundation, με θέμα:

The Rotary Club of Nicosia Lefkothea (RCNL), continuing its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service beyond borders, has successfully coordinated the shipment of essential medical and pharmaceutical supplies to Lebanon, responding to urgent and growing needs.

This initiative includes the dispatch of medicines generously donated by Medochemie, with a value exceeding €75,000, aiming to support healthcare services and provide relief to vulnerable communities during a critical time.

This marks yet another meaningful action by RCNL, reinforcing the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self and standing in solidarity with those in need.

Ο Ροταριανός Όμιλος Λευκωσίας Λευκοθέα (RCNL), συνεχίζοντας τη σταθερή του δέσμευση για ανθρωπιστική προσφορά πέραν των συνόρων, συντόνισε με επιτυχία την αποστολή ιατροφαρμακευτικών προμηθειών στον Λίβανο, ανταποκρινόμενος σε επείγουσες και αυξανόμενες ανάγκες.

We had the honour of welcoming Anna Koukkides Procopiou, Yale Peace Fellow and President of the Politeia Think Tank, who delivered an exceptional presentation on “A New World Order – Why Should We Care?”

Her insights on the evolving global landscape, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and the role of responsible leadership sparked meaningful discussion among members and guests.
