Another beautiful Sunday of food, solidarity and community. On the 10th of May we cooked up beef tava, vegan tava (soya), pourgouri salad and lemon cake for dessert.
Over 180 portions served and 120 pieces of cake shared, alongside many useful things like clothes and kitchen utensils given away through the free market.
Thank you to everyone who helped cook, serve, sing and share the day with us, community at its best ✊

📢 New Report Out!

Mission Solidarity, as part of the UNMUTE project, has published a new desk research report exploring youth engagement with democracy in Cyprus.

Focusing on ages 14-18 and 18-30, the report explores how young people understand democracy, participate in civic life, and experience being heard.

The findings highlight low participation rates, limited trust in institutions, and the lack of representation, especially among teenagers who are often missing from research.

At the same time, young people continue to engage in their own ways, showing that the issue is not a lack of interest, but a lack of meaningful inclusion.

Join us for our monthly Community Kitchen in the old town of Nicosia, on Sunday 10 May. A freshly cooked meal with halal meat and vegan options will be served at 13:30 🍲

You’re welcome to sit and share a meal with us or take your food to go.

! no cost, no discrimination and no questions asked !

There will also be a Free Market open until 13:00, where you’re welcome to pick up clothes, kitchen items and other useful things you might need.
