🩺 How do you improve the accuracy of medical imaging?

M3Phantom team, from Research Centre (Frederick University Cyprus), is developing a new generation of medical phantoms that simulate real human motion — helping reduce misdiagnosis in CT and nuclear imaging 🔬✨

🚀As part of the 4th cohort, the team is benefiting from Cyprus Seeds' grant and taking important steps to advance both the development of their technology and its path to market by:

✔ Dedicating research capacity to support the design and continuous upgrading of their prototype (MVP) through hands on development and testing.
✔ Funding critical materials and fabrication processes to build and refine their medical imaging solution.
✔ Providing international exposure through the Conception X accelerator (UK), a leading program supporting researchers to commercialize their research.

Additionally, through targeted mentoring, expert guidance, and training the team is:

✔Strengthening their IP and commercialization strategy through expert mentoring.
✔Preparing for patent filing while defining a clear commercialization pathway.
✔Refining their communication and presentation skills to attract potential licensees.
✔Receiving targeted training on customer discovery, technology transfer, IP, and pitching to investors.

👉 Today, M3Phantom has reached prototype validation (TRL 7), tested in hospitals in Cyprus and abroad.

➡️ Next step: supporting the team to secure partnerships and licensing opportunities as they move forward with patent filing.

PROGNOSTIC team, from the Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου | University Of Cyprus, is developing an AI-powered tool that uses ultrasound imaging to help predict therapy response in oncology, supporting more precise and personalized treatment decisions.

🚀As part of the 4th cohort, the team is benefiting from Cyprus Seeds' support and moving from lab to market by:

✔ Strengthening their IP strategy and clarifying licensing pathways through expert mentoring.
✔ Improving how they communicate and present their work to investors and stakeholders.
✔ Receiving hands-on guidance on customer discovery and market engagement.
✔ Developing a clear market and health-economic case to demonstrate value to hospitals and payers.

👉 Today, PROGNOSTIC has developed and validated its core AI models using preclinical data and is progressing towards clinical validation (TRL 3–4).

➡️ Next step: supporting the team in navigating market adoption — identifying key payers and understanding how healthcare systems evaluate, adopt, and reimburse their technology.
