Πέφτει απόψε η αυλαία της 25η έκδοσης του Animafest. 

Θερμές ευχαριστίες στο πολυπληθές κοινό του φεστιβάλ, στους αμέτρητους εθελοντές, στην εξαιρετική ομάδα του φεστιβάλ, στους συμμετέχοντες καλλιτέχνες, στο Τμήμα Σύγχρονου Πολιτισμού του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού για τη διαχρονική του στήριξη, στο Omega Channel, στη Scaffolding Solutions, στην EventPro, και στον Επαρχιακό Διευθυντή Πωλήσεων της ΚΕΟ Λεμεσού Αντρέα Στίγγα.
 
Ιδιαίτερες ευχαριστίες απευθύνουμε στην κοινότητα Κοιλανίου, που μας υποδέχθηκε θερμά και με ενθουσιασμό. Ευχαριστούμε τον πρόεδρο της Κοινότητας Κυριάκο Χατζηχαραλάμπους, τον διευθυντή του Μουσείου Παραμυθιού, Στέλιο Παναγιώτου, καθώς και τη Μαρίνα Στέλιου, εκπαιδευτικό και συντονίστρια του Περιβαλλοντικού Κέντρου Κοιλανίου, για την φιλοξενία και την πολύτιμη συμβολή τους.

The curtain falls tonight on the 25th edition of Animafest Cyprus.

Our warmest thanks go to the large and enthusiastic audience of the festival countless volunteers, the outstanding festival team, all participating artists, and the Department of Contemporary Culture of the DeputyMinistry of Culture for its long-standing support. We are also grateful to Omega Channel, Scaffolding Solutions, EventPro for their valuable contribution, and Regional Sales Manager of KEO, Andreas Stigkas.

A very special thank-you goes to the community of Koilani, who welcomed us with such warmth and enthusiasm. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the President of the Community, Kyriakos Hadjicharalambous, the Director of the Fairy Tale Museum, Stelios Panagiotou, and Marina Steliou, educator and coordinator of the Koilani Environmental Center, for their hospitality and invaluable contribution.

We are also delighted to share photos from the opening ceremony, held in the presence of Mrs. Elena Christodoulidou, representing the Deputy Ministry of Culture.

PROGRAMME CHANGE: Due to ill health, Kemal Deveci and Aziz Kahraman won’t be with us on 7 August. They will be replaced by two young musicians who follow into their footsteps, Christos Isidorou (zurna) and Kyriakos Markoullis (davul), collectively known as « Ta Takouria ». Christos and Kyriakos will play festive street music, to lead us into the festival’s official premiere with pomp and circumstance!

ΑΛΛΑΓΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ: Λόγω ασθένειας, οι Κεμάλ Ντεβετζί και Αζίζ Καχραμάν δεν θα μπορούν να είναι μαζί μας στις 7 Αυγούστου. Τη θέση τους θα πάρουν δύο νεαροί συνεχιστές της παράδοσής τους, οι Χρίστος Ισιδώρου (ζουρνάς) και Κυριάκος Μαρκουλλής (νταούλι), γνωστοί ως «Τα τακούρια». Ο Χρίστος και ο Κυριάκος θα παίξουν γιορτινές μουσικές του δρόμου, για να μας εντάξουν εορταστικά στην πρώτη επίσημη μέρα του φεστιβάλ!

Meet the Jury

Jakob Schuh (Germany) co-founded the German animation studio Studio Soi in 2003, where he co-directed some of the studio’s most acclaimed productions, including The Gruffalo, which received BAFTA and Academy Award nominations in 2010–11.

After leaving Studio Soi in 2014, he co-directed Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes Parts 1 and 2. The film won an Annie Award and a BAFTA, and earned Schuh his second Academy Award nomination.

A graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, he now serves as a senior lecturer at the institution.

Ο Jakob Schuh (Γερμανία) συνίδρυσε το γερμανικό στούντιο κινουμένων σχεδίων Studio Soi το 2003, όπου συνυπέγραψε τη σκηνοθεσία ορισμένων από τις σημαντικότερες παραγωγές του, μεταξύ των οποίων το The Gruffalo, το οποίο προτάθηκε για BAFTA και Όσκαρ το 2010–11.

Μετά την αποχώρησή του από το Studio Soi το 2014, συνσκηνοθέτησε τα Revolting Rhymes – Μέρη 1 και 2 του Roald Dahl. Η ταινία απέσπασε Annie Award και BAFTA, ενώ χάρισε στον Schuh τη δεύτερη υποψηφιότητά του για Όσκαρ.

Είναι απόφοιτος της Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, όπου σήμερα διδάσκει ως ανώτερος λέκτορας.

Meet the Jury

Roberto Paganelli was born in Bologna in 1968.
He graduated in the disciplines of Arts, Music and Cinema and specialised in designing and organizing of film events and in conceiving and implementation of workshops and education programs.

He realizes workshops of education to image’s language and in making of films by real, documentaries and films in animation techniques.

In 2005 It is one of the founders of OTTOmani Association and from then has collaborated to realize more than 280 animation workshops for children, youth and adults.

He collaborates with Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione and Ribalta Experimental Film Festival as a selector and programmer of the films in competition.

Ο Roberto Paganelli γεννήθηκε στη Μπολόνια το 1968.

Σπούδασε Τέχνες, Μουσική και Κινηματογράφο και ειδικεύτηκε στον σχεδιασμό και τη διοργάνωση κινηματογραφικών εκδηλώσεων, καθώς και στη σύλληψη και υλοποίηση εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων και εργαστηρίων. Σχεδιάζει και υλοποιεί εργαστήρια οπτικοακουστικής παιδείας και δημιουργίας ταινιών μυθοπλασίας, ντοκιμαντέρ και κινουμένων σχεδίων.

Το 2005 υπήρξε συνιδρυτής της πολιτιστικής ένωσης OTTOmani και έκτοτε έχει συμβάλει στην υλοποίηση περισσότερων από 280 εργαστηρίων animation για παιδιά, νέους και ενήλικες.

Συνεργάζεται με το Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione και το Ribalta Experimental Film Festival ως μέλος της επιτροπής επιλογής και προγραμματιστής των διαγωνιζόμενων ταινιών.
