New report released 📢

How does racism shape everyday life in Greece, and what supports or hinders young people’s involvement in antiracist action?

Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity Greece, in collaboration with Generation for Change CY, announces the AntiRacism360: Empowering Youth for Inclusive Societies - Research Report Greece.

The mini report builds on a literature review alongside qualitative research involving young people, activists, and community stakeholders. It highlights how racism remains embedded in daily experiences, with particular attention to discrimination within school settings and the influence of media narratives and public discourse.

The research also shows that, despite strong interest in antiracist action, many young people face structural barriers such as financial insecurity, limited access to information, fear of backlash, and a lack of clear pathways for engagement. In response, the report puts forward recommendations that emphasize early antiracism education, stronger institutional support for educators, and inclusive, community‑based initiatives that foster participation and dialogue.

New report out! 📘

How do young people experience racism in Cyprus, and what barriers do they face in combatting it?

Generation for Change CY, together with Youth for Exchange and Understanding (YEU) Cyprus, presents the AntiRacism360: Empowering Youth for Inclusive Societies – Research Report Cyprus.

The small-scale report draws on interviews and a focus group with young people, activists, youth workers, and educators. It highlights racism as a daily reality shaping access to housing, employment, and public institutions, while also examining the impact of racial profiling, media narratives, and school environments.

While many young people are motivated to challenge racism, they face significant barriers, including fear of backlash, social isolation, and potential professional consequences. The report highlights good practices in Cyprus and puts forward concrete recommendations, such as intercultural community initiatives, media literacy training, and intercultural competency training for state actors.
