🚨Help Send 25 Students to our Épico Retreat VII!

Every October, we have the privilege of bringing select students from our sponsorship program together for a special weekend retreat filled with games, fellowship, worship, and learning about God.

For many of these students, Épico is more than just a fun weekend. It’s a chance to build meaningful friendships, grow in their relationship with God, and experience a community where they feel known, loved, and encouraged. We’ve even seen students make the life-changing decision to accept Jesus into their hearts during these retreats. This year, we need help sending 30 students!

$125 sends one student to Épico. This is also a wonderful opportunity to make a one-time donation. Maybe a monthly sponsorship isn’t possible right now, but you can still make a lasting difference in the life of a student by helping send them to Épico. Every gift helps create connections, memories, and moments that can change a young life forever.

🚨 We are getting very closed to the date, but we are still far from our goal. We still need to sponsor 25 students so they can attend this Youth Epic Retreat!

At last week’s discipleship Hilda made Gallo Pinto & they cooked 45 scrambled eggs to share with the families. We had 35 people at discipleship! Such a great crowd. The children got to learn about the baptism of Jesus Christ. 🙌🏼🙏🏼

A special full-circle moment at Pura Vida Missions!

This Friday, we had the joy of welcoming back Marjorie during her visit to Costa Rica with her two children. 🇨🇷

Marjorie served at the mission for many years, first as a translator and eventually becoming a beloved part of our staff and helping develop many of the programs we have today. She has touched so many lives in Costa Rica and the lives of groups that have served with us. She has built so many friendships over the years and we are so thankful she stopped by!

While visiting, Marjorie joined our discipleship session and taught the mothers just like she did more than 10 years ago! It was such a sweet and unexpected reminder of the years she poured into this ministry.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to have her back for a visit and to see her share once again with the women she once served. Some moments really do feel like coming home. 🤍 We love you Marjorie!

A few days ago, we kicked off our Little Accountants workshop! Our wonderful volunteer teacher went above and beyond, preparing these awesome welcome gift bags for all 20 kids who enrolled. We’re so excited to see these little learners explore the world of money, numbers, and financial skills!

We’re so excited to introduce Little Accountants, a new program launching at Pura Vida Missions on August 24! 🎉

In partnership with a student from Universidad Hispanoamericana, we’ll be offering this fun and hands-on workshop for children ages 6–12, where they’ll discover the basics of money management, saving, accounting, and entrepreneurship. 💰📚

Through games, challenges, and interactive activities, our little ones will learn important financial habits while developing confidence, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

We’re so grateful for partnerships that allow us to invest in the next generation and give children tools that can impact their future. 🤍

Here’s to raising smart, confident, and financially responsible little entrepreneurs!
