𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡!
Today, the Junior Youth Public Officials of Barangay San Jose, Montevista, Davao de Oro actively participated in the Family Day Celebration of the San Jose Day Care Center, where they had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the students, parents, and teachers. More than simply observing, our young youth officials voluntarily served, assisted, and took part in the different activities and program of the Family Day, demonstrating the value of volunteerism, leadership, and community service.
Following the activity, the Junior Youth Public Officials participated in a meaningful Youth Governance and Leadership Learning Session, where they were introduced to the functions and responsibilities of the Sangguniang Kabataan, Barangay Officials, and Barangay Councils. They learned about the 10 Centers of Youth Participation, as well as the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP), Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP), and the SK Annual Budget.
They were also given the opportunity to observe how a meeting is properly conducted and how Minutes of the Meeting are prepared, providing them with a firsthand glimpse into the processes of local youth governance and public service.
This activity serves as an important step in developing the next generation of young leaders—equipping them not only with knowledge, but also with the values of responsibility, teamwork, participation, and genuine service to the community.
