We are in phase 1 of our project. We bought a small piece of property in the fishing village of Cabuya, Costa Rica. The property is at the entrance to the Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve located at the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Our plan is to create a B&B and Art Retreat Center. We will build three cottages for travelers/artists and a small house for us. Simplicity , form, function, and beauty wil
l be the key elements. We will also build an open air art studio which will be near the river's edge, facing Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve. We plan on hosting art retreats where folks can walk in the wilderness for inspiration and then take that inspiration and create art. It's not only about what Selva Vista will have, it's also about what Selva Vista won't have. Those who prefer 5-star resorts probably won't want to stay at Selva Vista and that is ok. Those who prefer unspoiled nature while enjoying creature comforts coupled with artistic touches, will enjoy the experience. This site is dedicated to the process of creating Selva Vista. Many reasons! For myself (June), nature is the motivating force. Having lived in the Philippines as a child, I fell in love with the tropics and the jungle. The experiences I had stayed with me and I feel as though much of what I've done in my life has led me to this point. Andrew grew up in the beach town community of Encinitas, California. He enjoyed the simplicity of beach culture and the beauty of the ocean. He feels a connection with nature and also has fallen in love with the oceans and jungles of Costa Rica. We are excited to embark on this adventure and hope you will join us once we're living our dream.
