The Mid-Hudson, NY Chapter (MOAA) is an affiliate of the Military Officers Association of America MOAA (www.moaa.org) are politically nonpartisan, non-profit 501 (c)(3) veteran’s organizations. Hopefully, this group will become a one-stop spot for all things for the Mid Hudson, NY area for MOAA! A place to post Legislative goals at all levels. To include MOAA Take Action Messages. Announce honors received by the Council, Chapters, or individual members.

On 9 May 2026, Mid-Hudson Chapter, (MHC) Past President, LTC John "Jack" Carlson, USA (Ret) awarded four soon to be Commissioned Second Lieutenants in the US Army. They were awarded MOAA Certificates of Achievement as well as the MOAA US Army Gold Bar kits.

The Cadets will be officially commissioned on Saturday 16 May, 2026 from Marist University Poughkeepsie, NY, Army ROTC Program.

Great meeting today for the MOAA Mid-Hudson Chapter at The Ship Lantern Inn in Milton, NY. We had a visit and presentation from Ms. Dena Kilgore, Program Manager, Affiliated Chapters and Councils, MOAA. Below, the Chapter is receiving the 2025 MOAA Levels of Excellence Chapter 5 Star Award. The Chapter also received the Col Marvin J. Harris Communications 4 Star Award for our Newsletter. Congratulations to LTC Bob Pascacello USA, (Ret) and to our Chapter! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
