This is a non-profit organization committed to safeguarding the marine sanctuary in Kasay. d) To promote mutual understanding among members.

Welcome to the official page of the KASAY Marine Protected Area! We are a People's Organization with a mission to safeguard and conserve the marine sanctuary in the City Waters of Kasay, San Fernando City, La Union. Our primary goals are to:
a) To protect and conserve the established marine sanctuary in the City Waters of Kasay, San Fernando City, La Union. b) To form a body which is primary responsible for the management of the marine protected area. c) To strengthen the advocacy for the rehabilitation and replenishment of fishery, and coastal resources. d) To enjoin other stakeholders in the efforts of community-based coastal resource management. Our secondary goals are to:
a) To foster closer relationship and understanding among members. b) To serve as channel of all assistance coming from either government of private institutions deemed necessary to promote the welfare of the members. c) To serve as venue to venture into lawful projects that will enhance and uplift the socio-economic well-being of members. The KASAY Marine Protected Area was established under City Ordinance No. 2004-010 to restore and sustain the rich biodiversity of our coastal ecosystem. Our Marine Sanctuary and Marine Reserve play integral roles in our conservation efforts. The KASAY Sanktwaryo, created under this ordinance, diligently manages the KASAY MPA and ensures the successful implementation of the management plan. We invite you to join us in making a difference in our environment and our community.
