Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SDAY) is a competition which recognizes successful or potential young designers from UNESCO Creative Cities. The purpose of the SDAY is to reward the efforts of young designers who, through their creativity, have made outstanding contributions to making cities more environmentally friendly and livable, society more harmonious, development more sustainable,

and above all, human lives better. The award also aims to encourage the exchange between young creative talents from different countries, the cooperation between the Creative Cities, the sharing of those cities’ experiences and ideas for developing creative and cultural industries, the production and sale of creative design products, and the promotion of design thinking.

🚨 Important Update: 6th Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents Deadline Extended! 🚨

We are extending the submission deadline for the 6th Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents! 🖌️✨ The new deadline is now July 27, 2025 (24:00 Beijing Time).

🔔 Key Dates:
• July 27, 2025 (Sunday): Deadline for online registration
• August 10, 2025: Deadline for tangible works submission (time for arrival at the Secretariat’s warehouse)
• August 16-17, 2025: Final judging
• Late September or October 2025: Awarding Ceremony and SDAY Exhibition
