The ”40 UNDER 40 China Design Outstanding Youth“ annual list was launched by Guangzhou Design Week in 2016, under the professional recognition of IFI and with global promotion. Each year, through the core activities of ”City List, Provincial List, and National List,“ it recognizes and celebrates no more than 40 outstanding young designers under the age of 40 in interior design, architectural design, landscape design, and related fields from cities, provinces, and nationwide. The aim is to foster the collaborative growth of China’s design core and highlight the vibrant journey of Chinese design.

From the city lists, the 40 UNDER 40 recognized 2,297 outstanding young designers from 162 cities. In October 2022, thousands of city design elites competed in the provincial list‘s advancement review meetings, leading to the emergence of 1,010 outstanding young designers from 33 provincial lists. Among thousands of design elites, the most inspiring outstanding designers of the past year were sought and rigorously selected.

The CHINA 40UNDER40 INTERIOR DESIGN (HONG KONG) 2018-2019 Award is a regional chapter and is being organized by “UNITED VOICE HK” and solely sponsored by “TAT MING WALLPAPER”. Entry is completely free and we guarantee no promotional fee is required for the award winners. Winners will automatically be entering to the “Greater China 40UNDER40” competition/selection and be widely promoted in China and the Asia Pacific Regions.
