UPDATE
We made the journey to collect the little dog who we named Dahei.
Kind hearted residents in the area had captured him and kept him in their apartment block.
It took a long time to gain his trust but he's now at our shelter.
He'll be wormed, vaccinated and neutered when he's settled in and gained some weight 💙

We've received several calls and videos from tourists in Zengjia Town about a little dog who travels from it's home on the mountain down to the town where tourists go to eat - around 10km away.
The dog looks to have survived Canine Distemper.
Our founder Du Yufeng and our volunteers are going to travel the nearly 70km to rescue this dog who very soon will run out of food when the tourists go home.
We will update you when we have the dog 🙏

International Dog Day 🐶
And we are picking up the pieces again from unscrupulous breeders! 😭

These 3 Chinese Wolf Dogs are like walking skeletons because the villagers who bought several of these dogs for breeding, from the Northwest, were leaving them to die because they weren't good enough!
The youngsters are now at our shelter.
Animals are living beings and deserve the love and respect that we expect of others.

WangWang and her puppies were killed by children in Jieyang, Guangdong. WangWang died protecting her own children.
The perpetrators were all under 14 years old, below the age of criminal responsibility in China. They filmed these deaths on their phones!! They beat and stabbed the puppies to death and set fire to WangWang. She was a loved stray dog in the area, just looking to raise her babies like any mother does. These are not innocent children.
Animal lovers in China, like us are horrified and heartbroken.
Please share WangWang's story. The world needs to know what happened.
*Although WangWang was not a dog rescued by us, our founder Du Yufeng has asked that this story be told on our overseas social media since censorship to protect the children is happening in China.

Some market stall holders called us to tell us about a mother dog and her puppies. The stall holders had been feeding the mother dog but her puppies are at the age where they are walking in the road so they were afraid they would be killed. We took the mother and her puppies back to our shelter.
