Battery upgrade question from r/NinebotMAX: a Segway Max G3 owner is deciding between swapping in the GT3 battery or adding the official external range extender.

The G3 Plus preorders are live and r/NinebotMAX is full of people deciding whether to upgrade from a G2/G30 or hand the old one down.

For the e-bike / e-scooter builders here: when you build a new battery pack, do you design around the cells you can actually source reliably, or the exact capacity/space you want?

I've seen people move to 21700 for energy density, but 18650 packs can be easier to match and balance. What's your real-world priority — range, cost, ease of building, or cell consistency? 🔋⚡
