🎉 The Nomads World Cultural Festival 2026, to be held at the foothills of Taij Khairkhan in Nalaikh District on 21-23 August 2026, aims to safeguard and promote Mongolia’s intangible cultural heritage and celebrate its heritage bearers.
🏕️ During the festival, we invite you to visit the main pavilion of Mongolia’s first national geopark, the Khanbogd – Shar Tsav Geopark, as well as the pavilion showcasing Gobi food culture, and discover its rich natural, cultural and culinary heritage.
🏜️ The Khanbogd – Shar Tsav Geopark is located in the Gobi region, spanning the territories of four soums across Umnugovi and Dornogovi provinces, and is rich in intangible cultural heritage, including a diverse and distinctive food culture.

By visiting these pavilions, you will have the opportunity to:

: The Great Wall of China - the Ultimate Symbol of Ancient Strength! 🏰✨
Spanning over 20,000 kilometers across China's northern border, the Great Wall is the world's largest military structure and a true wonder of human engineering.

🌟 Call for Proposals: OPD-led Small Grants for Disability Inclusion in Mongolia

UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia is inviting Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Mongolia to apply for small grants supporting community-led initiatives that advance disability inclusion, combat discrimination, and promote meaningful participation.

💡 Selected projects may receive grants of up to USD 4,000 to implement practical, locally driven initiatives between November 2026 and August 2027.

📌 Funding priorities include:
• Leadership and participation in public decision-making
• Arts, culture and media for disability equality
• Combating discrimination and exclusion
• Inclusive sport for leadership and community inclusion
• Disability-inclusive climate action and disaster risk reduction

👥 Who can apply?
The lead applicant must be an OPD established and operating in Mongolia. Partnerships with civil society organizations, schools, cultural institutions, local authorities and other entities are encouraged, with the OPD serving as the lead applicant.

🗿 Discover Rapa Nui on this : The World’s Most Remote Inhabited Island! 🌍
🗺Located 3,700 kilometers off the coast of Chile, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) holds a rich and deeply fascinating history. Settled by Polynesian explorers around A.D. 300, this isolated society developed a completely unique, monumental tradition of art and architecture without any outside influence.
🗿 The Moai: The island is home to nearly 900 colossal stone statues (moai) carved from volcanic tuff, ranging from 2 to 20 meters tall!
🪨The Ahu: Over 300 ceremonial platforms serve as the final resting place for these incredible ancestral monuments.
🪽 The Birdman Cult: Following an ecological crisis in the 16th century, the islanders transitioned from ancestor worship to the unique "man-bird" religion, centered around the stunning volcanic village of Orongo.
✨Despite a complex history of survival, the legacy of the Rapa Nui people lives on today through their descendants and this breathtaking World Heritage site.
