「A Research Team Led by Prof. Wang Yin Visited Indonesia to Promote the Application of ANSO Project Technologies」

🌍From July 21 to 25, 2025, a delegation led by Prof. Wang Yin, the project leader of “Technical Research and Application Demonstration for Sustainable Development of Biomass Waste Resources in Southeast Asian Countries” (ANSO-CR-KP-2021-08), visited Indonesia. The project is supported by the Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and ANSO.

🤝During the visit, the team engaged in discussions with PT. Fuhai Industrial Estate and other Indonesian enterprises regarding the application potentials and challenges of activated carbon water purification technology, as well as the feasibility of scaling up biochar for soil remediation. Additionally, the team presented a water purifier to PT. Fuhai Industrial Estate. Subsequently, the team conducted a site visit to the activated carbon production line at PT. Indofurnace and engaged in an exchange of views on key topics. The team also met with senior officials from the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesia Daily Editorial Advisor, who expressed strong appreciation for the research achievements of CAS. Additionally, the team paid a visit to the BRIN, where both parties reached a consensus on jointly applying for Sino-Indonesian intergovernmental cooperation projects. As a gesture of collaboration, A water purifier was also donated to BRIN. In Mendalo Darat Village, Muaro Jambi City, Jambi Province, the delegation held a meeting with local officials, including the Regent and the Village head. Water purifiers were donated to the village and its residents, which received strong recognition from both the local government and residents.

✨This visit has significantly boosted Sino-Indonesia intergovernmental cooperation, facilitated the application and dissemination of CAS technologies in related countries, reinforced Indonesia’s drinking water safeguards, and produced concrete improvements in public welfare.
