The ACCÈS POUR TOUS / ACCESS FOR ALL workshop was successfully held on 15th May 2026 at CIOP Bafoussam jointly Organized by Sascam Save a Soul Cameroon and Association for Women and Girls in Deaf Culture in partnership with Ap'ArtS and Media Lab.
The workshop was organized under the theme:“Bridging the Communication Gaps for the Hearing Impaired and Visually Impaired in Cameroon.”
This important initiative is part of the Connected Cameroon Project of the Goethe-Institut Kamerun, sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The goal was to Promote sign language, accessible information, and inclusive policies which is essential to creating communities where no one is left behind. True inclusion requires collective action from government institutions, schools, families, organizations, media platforms, and society as a whole to ensure accessibility, dignity, and equal participation for all persons living with Impairment.
Each partner played a significant role in the program.
Save a Soul Cameroon took the lead in inviting stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including participants from teacher training schools, nursing training institutions, and deaf learners as well as the overall background and purpose of the program during the workshop.
The Association for Women and Girls in Deaf Culture led the introduction to basic sign language.
Ap'art and Media Lab on the other hand, facilitate digital technology and media activities.
Accessibility is a right, not a privilege. Let’s continue building a more inclusive Cameroon for all.
