World Sight Day 2026 Our Cataract Surgery Caravan lands in the Republic of Congo

As part of the activities marking World Sight Day 2026, under the global theme “Love Your Eyes,” AFROPHTHA is pleased to announce its upcoming Cataract Surgery Caravan in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, taking place from 5th to 12th October 2026.

This initiative is dedicated to bringing essential eye care services closer to communities and providing people living with cataract with access to quality screening, surgical treatment, and post-operative care.

Through this Caravan, we aim to contribute to the fight against avoidable blindness and visual impairment, while restoring vision and improving the independence and quality of life of patients and their families.

The campaign will bring together dedicated eye care professionals committed to serving communities and advancing access to quality eye health services.
