AFROPHTHA marks 2025 International Day of the African Child with Camerooon Junior Parliamentarians

In a bid to push for legislation for systematic eye screening in the school milieu, Africa Ophthalmology Network Foundation (AFROPHTHA) has carried out an advocacy screening and sensitization of Junior Parliamentarians of Cameroon in Yaoundé, Cameroon, as part of activities to mark the International Day of the African Child. Organised by Cameroon's Ministry of Social Affairs, activities are geared on giving the young people's representatives the ability to find solutions to issues affecting young people in Cameroon at the Parliament, interacting with different government institutions. Many thanks to Mme. Pauline Irène Nguene, Minister of Social Affairs, Bernard AGBOR , CEO AFROPTHA, and the team and management of New Life Foundation, our technical partner.
