SELA Foundation actively participated in the “Future Ready: U.S.–Cameroon Education and Skills Expo,” engaging directly with students, young professionals, and education stakeholders on pathways to U.S. education, skills acquisition, and career readiness. Through focused interactions and information-sharing, the Foundation provided guidance on academic opportunities, skills development, and youth leadership, aligning with its mission to empower young people for sustainable futures.

This participation enabled SELA Foundation to establish new institutional partnerships and strengthen existing collaborations aimed at equipping Cameroonian youth with practical skills aligned with international standards. The Expo served as a strategic platform for dialogue, networking, and cooperation between local and international actors in education and workforce development.

Overall, SELA Foundation’s engagement reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to quality education, enhancing employability, and opening global opportunities for Cameroonian youth. By fostering meaningful partnerships and promoting future-ready skills, the Foundation continues to play a catalytic role in preparing young people to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and competitive global environment.

We had the privilege of holding a high-level meeting with representatives from several organizations to explore avenues for collaboration aimed at creating more sustainable opportunities for youth. The discussions were highly productive, leading to the formulation of several key recommendations. We look forward to translating these insights into concrete actions and impactful partnerships in the near future.
